A thought I had about blood

There seem to be enough bodies of water in Skyrim that it would be feasible to have blood not fade after combat, but only wash away if it rained or you took a swim. Not only could we follow a stream out of some dungeons but we could use it to wash off. What do you think?

Mud blood snow mead all should stain my mighty nord beard till I take a dip!! Wud look cool. Armour getting dusty and bloody, the snow and ice effect could go by it's self but the blood and dirt should only come off if you swim/wash or it rains. Would be cool to come outt a huge dungeon covered in dust, giant cob webs and a little bit of undead between the toes.

Did you play ES IV with http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11182?
It adds that wash off element to Oblivion.

On top your charisma is lowered the messier you look...

So maybe the devs know about that.

Meh.

Sounds kind of silly, honestly. (Also, quite ugly - I was glad I could turn off the Massive Blood Spray in Dragon Age 1, just because it made everyone look ugly, and stupid, in post-battle cutscenes).

But, hey - personal preference.

(I'd guess that blood splatter fades just to keep processing overhead down - if it kept building up more and more decals as you hack your way through a "dry" dungeon, it could probably start to slow things down on lower-mid systems. Especially if you had several quest NPCs with you also getting splattered.)

No I didn't--so no I didn't know that washing was featured in Oblivion.

I guess I'd like to see it also available on a low gore setting. :) It's not that I'd like to see my character get terribly grubby. It's more the pleasure of cleaning up after an adventure that appeals to me.

Can't believe I missed that one... pretty brilliant if you ask me.

Don't miss the better textures->[url/]http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11238[/url] (well I had them back then when I played the game; might be already improved in the basic mod until now)
Sorry for OT..

Imagine if you could have a bath in the taverns at the end of the day.

It will have blood, they say; blood will have blood.

I'm pretty content with how the blood is handled in Skyrim so far, like how after running an enemy through with your sword it spatters and streams off the edge of your blade instead of just leaving a nondescript splotch as in previous games. Having to wash off blood could get annoying, but it would be nice if your wounds wouldn't magically disappear after resting for a while. Blood stains could dry, yes, but I don't want to take a nap after fighting within an inch of my life and then waking up looking like I just got out of character gen.
