Thoughts about the Khajiit Photo

That photo feels very Morrowind overall, what with the statue/altar as well.

his knees look like he is slightly crouching. you can see them at the very bottom of the picture because they go out in front of his body. HOWEVER, his upper body is completely straight with perfect posture.seriously do this while standing up it is very awkward and that is why it leads me to believe his legs are slightly bent but not as much as morrowind. More like a hybrid of MW and OB

Although the khajiit photo the OP linked still in a way resembles the Oblivion Khajiits, for some reason I'm just loving that "new" Skyrim Khajiit look... and I'm not even a fan of the Khajiits. I'm a Nord and Breton fan.

Well, I'm certain the Khajiit in the photo is standing on his toes, even if the feet turn out to be plantigrade... And the problem with MW's animation was they made the feet slightly too long, and didn't realize a digitigrade biped would still walk very similar to a plantigrade biped, with minimal motion in the ankle (serving more as a shock absorber than anything else). However, Morrowind's beast run animation was pretty decent, even if the walk was [censored] (Then again, Morrowind's Non-beast walk was also absurd: Apparently, Vvardenfell's ruled by the Ministry of Silly Walks)

I hope they do have quadruped hind legs, never seen them as ive not played morrowind, they would look awesome and if they are in the game, it'd just show how dedicated Bethesda are at detail because they'd need a hole new IK system and animations for almost every action, this being said, that's a valid reason for them not having lion like hind legs, Not to mention footwear, although they could be a shoeless race which would make perfect sense.

I hope they do though :D

Honestly, i'd rather them not be, I can't stand the way they look in Morrowind.

Me either but also that they're noticeably different from the other races. Somewhere in between Morrowind's silly digitigrades and Oblivion's boring plantigrades.

Actually, they don't need a new animation system for digitigrade feet anywhere above the waist. Even below the waist, the only difference would be angling the thighs forward a little bit more, and slightly bending the knees and ankles. In fact, I've seen several games take a shortcut and simply offset the mesh from the skeleton, using the same "Skeleton" of a plantigrade character to animate it, and it still looks right. The issue with that would be aligning the gear that goes over the legs...

I'm quite knowledgeable about bipedal digitigrade movement.

Argonians, however, do not need such feet. Lizards are plantigrade in real life. Felines are not.

I normally play as a Nord, but this pic makes me want to have a Khajiit as a 2nd character, they don't look like sissys anymore, they look like mean cats.

In Morrowind they looked like they'd [censored] themselves.

Morrowind is victim of bad animations.

I would actually spitball and say that he totally does have bent legs. The way they jut out a little front is very reminiscent of the khajiiti of Morrowind.

I cannot see his legs in that photo. What that looks like to me it looks like a stance before a attack. He is seen something, take his bow out and going to attack.

Hopefully they either have normal, boot wearing legs, or the boots are magically transformed into "cat-boots"...

Armor already magically transforms to accommodate mammaries, I don't see why it would be so difficult for feet.

people seem to hate the MW feet because of the way they looked when walking I agree

but with better animation and proportions beast legs would look 1000 times better than human boring legs

No its obvious he dosent have legs like in morrowind but if you look i think that unlike in other games beast races wont have human legs or freaking unrealstic legs (morrowind where they shouldnt be able to walk) that look like someone cut out part of their legs. But it seems to me their legs will bend slightly outward at all time to show a more bestial nature without being just plain stupid.
