That's basically what it was.
>hating the Fo3 and NV menu music
That's basically what it was.
No.
And I thought you said you disliked Inon Zur.
I do.
However, the menu themes of NV and Fo3 are the only decent pieces of original music in either game. Still get chills every time I load them up and hear it.
The dog was the worst part of the video. There was no weight to it's walk and it's run was jerkier than anything in Morrowind. It's 2015 why are you willing to accept low quality animation from any AAA studio? And who in BGS green lit that?!? Seriously that person needs to be fired.
Mhh I actually didn't found it jerky at all.
Well I don't like it.
What I did like to certain degree was the violin quartet in some New Vegas areas. Other than that, the Zur soundtrack wasn't noteworthy.
Hey I just realized Fenway Park is definitely in the game. At about 1:55 in the trailer it shows that settlement with baseball park looking lights shining down on it. It also shows a store named Diamond city surplus. Also at about 1:50 it shows what looks to be the entrance. I guess Fenway Park is going to be one of the main settlements in the game. Possibly called, Diamond City?
After 4 games of having a dog companion should it be any surprise that people are ticked off that yet another one (possibly Dogmeat even) is shoehorned into Fallout 4?
Screw dogs. I want a tame Gecko.
I liked the lighting and the new objects.
And while this is just a teaser, the pre-nuke flashbacks suggested that the plot of FO4 might involve scrutinzing some of the decisions made by Old America. I.e., "how did we get to this terrible place we are in now?" Any sense of history is welcome in an RPG. Alternately, what was suggested earlier: the PC is an android and these are implanted memories. In which case the question likely becomes, what makes a person a person? If the main quest involves the Institute vs the Railroad, this question will be near the heart of the players choices. Color me intrigued.
Besides, many major issues can be solved with mods. As long as BGS releases mod tools, even major mistakes (like forcing the DB to become a werewolf to join the companions) can be fixed. So having a new sandbox to play in is fun.
The trailer showed quite a bit, imo, but kept things detatched. The only confrontational shot was the one with the ghouls. Everything shown in what I assume is the present-day game world looked fairly peaceful--even the super mutants. And almost everything you see (aside from setting) is in previous Fallout games. It makes me wonder what this is setting up for the 14th.
Because graphics make for a quality game.... am I right?
I'm not going to put too much into any trailer to start with. That said, I mostly liked what I saw. I'm waiting for more solid information about gameplay.
Not that, the ones who want the best damn looking digitally created dog in existance, but are furious because they didn't get it.
The main point of the trailer for me is just the confirmation that Fallout 4 is coming, many assumed that this was the case but it's good to have it confirmed. Graphics look plenty good enough to me. It seemed like the trailer is mostly trying to reassure the viewer that this is the same good old Fallout (the ghouls, a deathclaw, power armor, even the dog companion) rather than to showcase changes and improvements. Still, it's only a trailer, we can get a much better look at the 14th hopefully. The only thing that concerns me is the PC talking at the end, but again we'll find out on the 14th.
I was comparing trailers, not teasers.
Like I said
Oh, right.
To be fair the textures of that dog are pretty awful in comparison to a lot of its surrounding textures, especially at the garage workshop scene.
I say 'yes' because I didn't really have any expectations. The trailer was good though, and I'm excited to learn more about the game which is the intended purpose of a reveal traIler.
No, but it could be the only redeeming quality, now there are none
