My thoughts after 40 or so hours

I've just turned 50 and have played many, many, many games over the years, open-world RPGs being my favorite genre. I have boxes full of games for all platforms. Still load up any number of them from time to time to remember a time when games were more creative, more engaging, more diverse and sophisticated in gameplay mechanics etc. I, for one, hate the console era and economic realities that yield tired, linear, brief designs that are now so commonplace. While Bethesda gets much credit here, my hat is off to Obsidian for taking FO to a new level. Truly epic vision realized in NV! Great job despite some of hiccups. I think this is the best RPG since Morrowind (and can't wait for TES V). I can't even remember the last time I was so immersed in a game world - well maybe the first year of WoW, but MMOs are a separate discussion. My wife has banned me from MMOs hah! Anyway, Epic job guys and gals. Obvious to me creative juices, vision, and love all converged on this modern Classic!
