You have seen them play through entirely new and better maps, the openness of Crysis 1, and the style of Crysis 2. You seem to think that they need to somehow make it something that's completely different than either games.
Well, I'm sorry, but then that is not Crysis.
Which is what I said, it's Crysis 2 with new maps and a few gimmicks like the bow. Thanks for agreeing with me.
As for the openness well, they said Crysis 2 would be open and it very well wasn't. I believe they used the word "action bubbles" to describe a linear corridor.
Crysis > Crysis 2 = Crysis 2.5
Really just think for a second, I asked you what you found new and innovative and you literally only came up with maps. Who is the deluded one here?
*facepalm*
New things in Crysis 2: The bow. If you want me to explain everything about it then you weren't paying attention.
Hacking turrets, doors, and other machinery.
New enemies.
Ceph weaponry.
Newer and better HUD.
Anything other new gameplay mechanics could be added in the one year of development left.
The bow is just a gimmick. New enemies and weapons do not change multiplayer gameplay, neither does the HUD which quite frankly is a copy and paste job for the most part.
The hacking is the only gameplay related thing you've mentioned and the odds of it being a single player only related mechanic is extremely high. The odds of it being a "go to this and press this button" are also extremely high which has been done to death in games.
It looks more like a Crysis 2 expansion pack more than anything else.
Given that Battlefield 3 just got destroyed by its ridiculous 'premium' service I was really looking for an upcoming FPS to get into but if Crysis 3 is going to be the same perks and killstreaks garbage it's going to be another 100-500 player count game.
