Thoughts on Mgtow?

Post » Thu Jan 29, 2015 6:56 pm

I recently saw comments of this Mgtow on YouTube comments and looked into this and saw it a male movement of some sort and I'm not sure of what to make of it. So what are your guys thoughts on this? Because it seems interesting but so alien to me as well. Btw Mgtow means Men going there own way.

It's a male version of feminism. Much like feminism, I don't care about this movement either.

Never heard of it.

And from what you just told me, I'll probably keep it that way.

I find it funny how in this day and age a group of men would have to start this kind of thing in the first place, and I feel the same way about the whole feminist movement as well. There is sixism in the world, there is racism, and you know what? It isn't against any one gender vs the other... It isn't against any one race vs the other. There is hatred on every side, there are stupid misinformed bigots, on every side. We should have a group called E.I.E. Everyone is Equal, if we're going to make a group at all.

Never heard of them, they seem equaly bonkers as the feminist groups.

And by feminist groups I don't mean groups that actually care about equality, but the social justice warriors that are offended if you look at them the wrong way.

It makes sense though, that there is an polar opposite of the Feminist SJW groups.

I feel like most of the western world is equal enough and I don't see any need to be nitpicky, there are pros and cons with every gender, and some of those pros and cons can't be fixed.

I also don't care for people who throw words like misogyny or misandry around making it meaningless, there are places in the world where being a woman is more or less living hell (I can't think of any where being a man is, there might be some though idk), once you throw words around they lose their meaning, and that svcks.

I'm gonna stop now before I turn too political.

I am a fan. People may call them nuts but what I've read from these people matches my experiences pretty well. Humbug!

the idea with MGTOW doesn't look to me like "male" Feminism but more of a attempt (by men) not to get mired in situations where it's not all that beneficial to them

Man meets Woman, fall in love, get married, buy a house, have kid(s) (So far so good but then),get a divorce, Woman get's house, kid(s) and Man pays for it. That sort of situation.

XXI century, 8000 years of civilization and we still having such issues. For Mara's sake, it is so hard to make everything equal to each genders? Or sixual options? Or even worse, skin colour? Bloede Dhoine.

I'm pretty sure it's all a conspiracy to divert our attention away from our alien robot vampire overlords.

You didn't hear that from me...... :whistling:

Just looking at the website, it looks more like a veiled excuse to insult and piss off women and the feminist movement than to actually advocate for any pro-men's movement. For every legitimate point they have, they seem to have at least one or two ridiculously illegitimate assertions.

I have my own issues with the feminist movement, but it's far more childish to advocate for firing women from employment, asserting that a married man can't be happy and that marriage should be reserved for "gays," and being in favor of abortion (which is very different from pro-choice).
