Thoughts on...

We can do these things so they are natural. There is nothing we can do that is unnatural, think about it.

Also @ rumblyguts: My English must be failing me, because I have no clue what you're talking about with the dust and cobwebs.

Not for the animals.

Your words are hurting my head. Ill try and form a coherent comment on your flawed logic in a bit.

For now read http://www.merriam-webster.com/netdict/natural

10 a : growing without human care; also : not cultivated b : existing in or produced by nature : not artificial c : relating to or being natural food

no matter how much vegetarians think they can stop the demand for meat there will always be a larger demand for meat because human instinct is to eat meat

As far as human history goes, that is a fairly new thought process. We started it by associating meat with wealth, because only the wealthy could eat it regularly. Just like gelatin was a high class food for a long time.

I'm vegan. Nothing to do with being "natural" or not. I'd agree everything is natural.

Doesn't make it right to treat other sentient organisms like crap when we have the ability to choose absolutely anything we want to eat. Now that's not true everywhere in the world, but it certainly is where I live, so I see no reason why it's justifiable for me to support it.

I agree with this completely.
Now, fortunately for me, none of the animal species I consume have shown any signs of sentient behavior.

What use would a plant have for pain?

Animals feel pain because it stops them from touching painful things and makes us cautious of dangerous things. A plant can't move apart from basic growing, and feeling pain wouldn't do anything. Doesn't seem to make sense to evolve to feel pain when you can do nothing about it. Then again, I don't get why childbirth hurts mammals, either.

A virus. If it weren't for that damned thing, the mother's body would reject the foreign DNA and it would be impossible for the egg to develop inside her. Of course, that would also mean most of the animals we're familar with wouldn't have existed *ever*...

Also, we only metabolise oxygen 'cause of a bacterium.

I like meat, plain and simple.

However, I do respect the decision of those who are vegetarians...except for those who do eat fish because they claim it isn't meat. Because fish is so obviously meat.

Those aren't vegetarians, they're piscatarians. Wish they knew the proper word to describe themselves :-\.

The proper term would be piscivore.

Not really; piscivore refers to organisms who primarily or exclusively eat fish (seals or penguins, for example). So it is not appropriate to describe any healthy human diet, same as carnivore.
