Thinking about creating a templar that can swap between solid DPS and AOE heals (or maybe tankiness).

Any suggestions on wepon choice and armor choice? I was thinking DW / Dest staff (or bow) and light armor. Would I get torn apart in light armor? Should medium armor make more sense?

Suggested skill lines to invest in for each stance?

I was thinking Khajit for race.

Should work. Bear in mind you can wear both light and medium, so a 5/2 split is possible.

I have been reading a lot from Templar and am going to do one. Many might have impression that Templar is a healer but this only proves that how narrow minded some can be. I will make Imperial Templar following Dawns Wrath, with heavy armory, sword + shield, learn armory, enchanting + alchemy. Main goal is to get my character able to take big DPS, do as much DPS as possible while healing myself.

My character might not be perfect, it might be average, but it is mine and I will live with it and hope it works best to my gaming abilities. I am sure I will be OK with lots of practice. I saw a thread where this guy was making exactly similar character as me and could not believe his whining. Life and gaming is full of decisions... this is my PvE and PvP character and if it fails I will re-evaluate him/her and start again... But Templar I will be.

Do you gimp yourself with a mix? I only hear people referencing wearing just 1 armor type.

you gimp your self wearing only 1 type. And fyi every class is a hybrid.

I think a Two-Hander & Aedric Spear build would be great for your PvP DPS build. I'm thinking...

Two-Hand Skills:

• Stampede
• Dizzying Swing

Aedric Spear Skills:

• Biting Jabs (main damage dealer)
• Toppling Charge
• Blazing Shield

Uber:

• Crescent Sweep

Why I Like This Build:

• 2 gap closers that use different resource pools.
• On-demand critical strike through Stampede.
• Tons of CC (3.5 sec immobilize, 3.5 sec stun w/knockback, 2.4 sec stun w/5 sec off balance).
• Damage shield and 20% damage debuff for some resilience.
• And all without a weapon swap!

I don't have enough experience with healing in this game to give any input on a PvP Healing build.
