Thoughts of the Training Limit?

Post » Tue Apr 16, 2013 10:33 pm

As we all know we can only train skills five times in total, until we have to level again. While I can understand this makes the game harder for powergamers to abuse, I still have a problem with it. For one it should be the person's choice if he or she wants to train his or her skills to a hundred, if he or she can of course afford it. My second and last point is roleplaying a totally "green", character. The only combat experience this character has, is hunting elk, not a warrior. Yet with the limit in place he or she cant train to be competent in battle, through the Companions even though they have a lot to learn. Am I asking for too much or is there something to what I'm saying, I'll look forward to the replies.

I have to agree. 5 levels is a bit meager, and training anything past 50 gets horribly expensive.

I get why there is a training limit, it just shouldn't be so few. If you're a higher level, say 30s-40s, and you want to train another skill you don't ever use, chances are those 5 levels of training aren't going to do a lot for you.

Also about the RPing thing, never thought of that. I wish there were more things like Angi's Camp, where she will physically in game train with you to improve your skill with a bow. I though it was very cool, and there should have been things like that for other skills.

I agree there should be more places like Angi's Camp, a missed opportunity with the Companions.

Agreed, but they probably ran out of time.

While I agree thats a possibility, it could also be a poor design choice. However, if that was the case then why is Angi's Camp so unique? Granted I think there should be dummies we could practice, but unlike Oblivion they would level up X skill.
