Thread to restore the glory that is Cliffracers in Skyrim!

Post » Wed Nov 25, 2009 11:17 pm

I'm sure everyone in these forums agrees that the magnificent beasts we encountered in Morrowind were Bethesda's best creation, and that these glorious creatures deserve to return in Skyrim, perhaps in even more numbers! I found it annoying how hard they were to find in Morrowind, and I think the number of them should be doubled or maybe triped for Skyrim. Anyways lets make a poll so we can show the Devs how much we want Cliff Racers!

They should be rare IF there is a good leveling system, otherwise 100000000 times more!!!!

Well, just think of the updraft posibilities, the potential for different kinds of avian creatures viewed from different angles, possibly tring to even jump onto one.....

only to be eaten by a dragon, like a perch to a pike ;)

but they should attack differently, they should zoom down, bite the player, fly away from the player and then repeat untill the player is dead

Ha if you were riding a Cliff Racer you would be safe from dragons! Everyone knows that Cliff Racers can and have killed dragons!

whereas the dragons in Vvardenfell were overrun by the invading cliff racers.

NO CLIFF RACERS! Cliff Racer spam in Morrowind really svcked donkey. The only way I wouldn't rage should they make an appearance is if they're either extremely rare or not rabid kamikazes.

Cliffracers could end up something we want in Skyrim. Thank about how ironic that would be.

I always like them. Killed a lot of them building my skill with my bow.

My blood calls out for the vengance of my peoples blood, which can only be repaid by twice as much blood, or maybe three times as much blood. Like if you went to hell and it was full of blood, and that blood was on fire, and it was raining blood, then maybe that would be enough blood, but probably not.

You don't understand how integral Cliff Racers are going to be to the story of Skyrim, here check out this theory of mine.

BLASPHEMER!

Lol...the sensor mangled my post! The cliff racers were awful...and I don't mean that they stuck me full of awe, but rather that they just struck me...repeatedly. I eventually enchanted a ring with invisibility just so I could avoid those pterodactyls from hell.

They can put in cliffracers ONLY if they include crossbows. Cliffracers made for EXCELLENT target practice. :D

Hey, look. Sarcasm... Funny... :glare:

Anyhoo. The abundance of Cliff Racers in Morrowind were simply due to bad levelled lists. They where always at the top of most lists. If you actually play the game properly, you'll notice that you'll see a lot less Racers at level 1, than at level 20.

Sure, there should have been less Racers, or the lists shouldn't be so level dependant on the PC. Spawn some rats when I'm a higher level.

All you would see would be Cliffracers nosediving to their deaths because of the build up of ice on their wings. ^_^

10 times of course!!! :celebration: :icecream: :batman:

Seriously though, as Summer pointed out it may very well be ironic if we face dragons. Then we will want cliffracers!

What about non-flying Cliffracers? Like penguins!

Just imagine you're running through the northern tundra, 5 bears skins on your back from recent hunts, when suddenly you hear http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YgMgUehD1Tw. You turn to see a host of waddling Glacier-racers! You could try to outrun them, but they'd just flip on their bellies and slide right up behind you.
