Disadvantages? Every time I turn back to human form and see my high elf chick naked, well...

It doesn't really have any disadvantages apart from not being able to get the Rested buff from sleeping, and people sometimes mention that you smell like a wet dog.

Advantages? It feels awesome to tear your victims face apart and bite their neck in those epic kill animations. Also, you can't contract diseases.

Advantages:

- enhanced HP and Stamina while in werewolf-form
- heavily enhanced carrying capacity while in werewolf-form
- Wolves won't attack you while in werewolf-form
- decent dmg in early levels
- awesome kill animations
- 3 powers to choose from as you advance in the questline
- good combat capabilities for "squishy" characters (traders, mages)
- you are faster than horses while in werewolf-form
- bounties aquired in werewolf-form will be canceled when you turn back to human
- resistance to weapons (except silver and deadric)

Disadvantages:

- you can't pick up items while in werewolf-form
- you can't access the menu while in werewolf-form (no fast travelling)
- you won't fit through certain doorways while in werewolf-form
- your companion will recognise you as an enemy while in werewolf-form
- ...so will everybody else (except wolves and werewolves)
- dmg scales only till lvl 25
- transforming in front of people adds 1000 to your bounty
- you un-equip every item when turning into a werewolf (item boni don't affect your werewolf-form)
- weakness to silver and deadric weapons

These are the ones I remember from my Trader/Werewolf character. You will probably want the http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Ill_Met_By_Moonlight in order to turn into a werewolf whenever you want (instead of only once a day). Apart from that being a werewolf can be a pretty fun experience. You can focus on non combat skills without much of a drawback early on and still trash most enemys.

there aren't any negatives of a werewolf at all i hate when people say that.. if there is a hard boss you can't beat turn into a werewolf and kill them... the weakness is your susceptible to silver but after you beat the companions not one person carries silver weapons.. and most of the disadvantages people are saying like you cant equip stuff or take potions.. just wait 20 seconds then your in human form and can do that.. just use common sense and don't be a werewolf in front of people.. Also my companion does not think im an enemy in werewolf form.. I still have lydia and she does not hurt you in werewolf form

Another disadvantage: you lose your "rested bonus". And I wonder, what does that bonus do anyway?
