Threads on release day : Othor Games

I personally think there will be less than 5 threads when it comes out because, well, it came out. Most of the users will be playing so, what's the point of threads on that philisophical day? Anyone else?

Well all the people who bought or pre ordered brink (which is about nearly all the forum) wont be on. So may one or two :laugh:

But Caradic is right, a few people wont get what they expected and complain..

I can't play FPS games for more than a few hours at a time, so I will for sure be on the forums or I'll be recording a commentary. It totally depends on how well I do. First impression videos are a bit old, but hey, I will beat MachinimaRespawn to it by about 3 days, rofl.

Oh, also, on the US release day, there will be a TON of EU, AU and NZ residents screaming for news from the people who have it already.

Although, as obliviondoll said, there will probably be tons more because of people who just don't understand the premise/don't understand why some things have been purposely omitted.

Either way, the mods will be working super hard for their money.

mine too but whats worse it couldnt be released on the weekend, it had to be released in the middle of the week....

I do think it will be filled with spam. I think I might devote my remaining free time to helping the mods clean up. (reporting threads and directing members to useful topics for more information)

Well I will help provide some info when I am not playing of course.

On the day, the mods should do a sorta what its like and if you should buy it topic , so we dont get people asking the same questions.

Spamy, Spamy's brother, Flamey, and his little sister, Locky, will all be taking a nice long visit to these forums on release day.

That being said, the complaints most likely won't come in until the day after release. Then come the review threads. Then come the begging threads. Etc, etc.

There also won't be any of the major forum-goers around to help clean up. Will all be hopped up on Red Bull and Sprite, playing Brink continually for three days straight. At least, I will. :disguise:

im thinking of trying to get a few IV's in my room so i dont have to stop to nourish myself XD

I heard it was 12th where you are. That's Thursday. You've only got one day before the weekend. Try the US Tuesday release if you want to have school/work in the way of your gaming.

And I get it on Friday.

If Wraith or Horse ever stop posting for more than 2 weeks at a time the Brink forums will die.........

My wife's laptop is in the livingroom where I game, so I'll probably be around unless I take it over to my friend's place (which is a possibility). Either way I'll be around that night to share info and tactics, and of course to see the complaints.
