Three Dog vs Mr. New Vegas

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 6:06 am

Threedog was actually the reason I couldn't listen to the radio in Fallout 3. His voice and style were annoying beyond comprehension.

Gooood eeevniiing chiiiiildren... Shut the [censored] up and stop harrassing the channel with your [censored]! Auuuuuuuuuuu.... *radio off*

Mister New Vegas wasn't too much better, but at least he wasn't even remotely as annoying.

Sigh, the next Fallout shouldn't have any DJ's.

this is why we need a fallout in the south
no DJ
just old yeller singing us a toon.

OP you needed to add neither in your poll. NV has much better music IMO. Both talk about news that happened 3 fo months ago like it just happened over and over again.

3 dog was a little more modern dj like. Mr. New Vegas is pretty boring.

3 dog made me laugh once when he mocked John Henry Eden. Mr. New Vegas has never made me laugh.

Mr. New Vegas is more old school and probably fits the time split better 3 dog is just ahead of his time.

I did actually like the Enclave channel, killing wanna be U.S. troopers while listening to patriotic tunes was fun. Eden was a good dj in his own right. I found him more intresting then both of them.

I love the DJs, Mr. New Vegas was probably the most bored sounding person ever (like he had spen thr last two hundred years staring at a blank computer screen in a cubicle) while Three Dog played music I liked, was energetic, humorous and one of the only comical reliefs I had exploring the ruins of D.C.

I don't want Three Dog actually back in F4 but I want somebody who doesn't making me yawn.

I don't know Sebor, I rather digged Mr New Vegas doing the more laid back and cool attitude, and whilst 3-Dog was funny at times he could get grating.

Three dog had good music like butcher pete. all of his music was good. Mr new vegas' only good song was the 1 with the catchy tune with no words.

Mr new vegas was funny at times

This

I think the music that Three Dog plays is better, but I think both are pretty annoying DJ's.

this^ however I like several of the Music tracks form NV, and pretty much all the atmosphere tracks in NV better then the ones in FO3.

Can't stand Three Dog, but he does have the adventures of Daring Dashwood.

yes! MORE Daring Dashwood. Infact, as others have said, that's what made Tabitha's station good, it was comedy/stories rather than plain old boring "news".

Hopefully Chicago has it's own "Ghoul-talk Radio" that plays nothing but comedy sketches all day long. That would be awesome.

So... this Nightkin walks into a bar... bartender says "who so blue?"... geddit? why so blue? ah fuhgetit...

This Ghoul, Supermutant and Vault-dweller are sat on the back of a brahmin, and..

I don't like any of the music in the games except for Big Iron. So Mr New Vegas wins on that front.

News wise, I'm going to go with Mr New Vegas too. With Three Dog, whenever I did something evil I'd get "That evil [censored] from Vault 101 blew up Megaton! So if your listening you sick bastard, [censored] you!"
Mr New Vegas on the other hand, shows an iota of professionalism and stays relatively neutral, like a news reporter should.

For me that gave me a sense of interactivity and that my choices mattered. Also, come on how could you not like that song about that cannibal in fallout3?

This Thread is mainly a competition between Three Dog vs Mr. New Vegas if you dont care for either one of them why'd you come here in the first place, so your not getting that wish. As for Eden and Tabitha their stations went down, and i did forget about them i shall start a different thread on that then.

Three Dog all the way, for every choice. Hell, I probably wouldn't have realized that I want to be a DJ, if not for him.

And yes, I'd like to see Mr. New Vegas. I think it'd be cool to see where he is located.

Three dog all the way..
Mr New vegas isn't even a person.
I get the whole Wayne Newton thing. Too bad they couldn't get Wayne Newton when he was still alive.. oh? He is still alive?

I find the soundtrack in NV to be pretty boring, over all. There are maybe 2 songs that i can handle listeing to- the rest just drags on and on.. Johnny Guitar? really? but really?

They both get old fast but I am going with Mr.New Vegas.

Mostly because Three Dog "fights the good fight" by broadcasting to no one for so long, until you come along and fix the dish.

Not strictly no-one, since he's still audible in DC itself. I bet those rampaging Super Mutant hordes just love Butcher Pete.

No offense to Mr NV... but I genuinely struggle to understand half of what he's saying sometimes. He's like a moggied up smackhead, who has taken so much Psycho mixed with Jet he's lost control of his mouth and jaw, he's always shlurring his way through the simple exercise of speaking.

Three Dog was annoying for a host of different reasons, I could understand everything he said, even if it was pretty nasal, but man, he was possibly the least likeable character in FO3.

I prefer the FO3 music to the FONV music but otherwise Mr. New Vegas all the way - Three Dog does absolutely nothing for me.

I couldn't agree more. I like the music in New Vegas as well, but Three Dog's music is just a little bit better...except for Butcher Pete . :yucky:

And here I was thinking that I was the only one here who hated Butcher Pete; one of the worst songs on GNR in my opinion. Heck, I'd take Johnny Guitar (which I didn't think was that bad) over Butcher Pete any day of the week.

Seems like alot of people hate Johnny Guitar, However, I am not one of them. It's a whole lot better than Butcher Pete...which BTW makes me turn off the radio whenever it comes on, which is about every other song.

Prolly should download cds onto your PC or consule to listen to while you play Fallout. This type of music is not going away any time soon
