Three RP Ideas, Which do you like best

Post » Mon May 16, 2011 11:36 pm

I'm going to say the 3rd. The 1st idea would be alright I suppose, but I've never liked vampire RPing and most people just become overly powerful creatures of the night that feed on all and can kill someone with a flick of their wrists.

The 3rd sounds fun, however I do not like comparing an RPing session with a Final Fantasy game, especially when based in the Elder Scrolls Universe. the 3rd idea is good though. Would be fun to develop strong, but reasonable characters and work along with each other to take out the greater evil. Could be a fun place for backstabbing, turncoats, and drama, along with the usual action, violence, and warfare.

Well i'll run this vampire RP very much so differently. I don't care for that sort of action myself. The focus will be on manipulation, not big sewer brawls.

The adventure RP will definitely happen after the vamp one.

Alright sounds like fun. I tend to like the adventures but it will be nice to try out a more speech and espionage based RP. along with a bit of fighting.

Number three and I would like to join considering I know have tons of free considering High School has gotten stupid easy for me and basketball will only take away 1 or maybe 2 nights a week, and even on those nights I would still be able to post if I had the will power to write that late.

If you do number three and don't need me to join I'd still definitely read it.

edit: for number three you could easily choose you five or so entirely commited writers and maybe a cast of casual supporting RPers, so everyone can be at least some what happy and involved in the RP

Is this a part of the Timeline? If so, what year?

I'd say about two months after the actions in HR.

Well looking forward to full description of the RP. If you could find the time, maybe have it done before new years, that way everyone can figure out their character set up, then give people a bit of time after new years to figure out a plan for their character if not done already.

Perfect. May I use Edwinn? I never got to fully develop the little vampire thing I had in mind for him, and two months should be a nice amount of time.

Immortal, I'll assume for the moment you don't want to start a faction opposed to the vampires, so I'll leave that alone for now. However, seeing as you are going for the classical, gothic nobility feel, is it possible that the vampire nobles would have mortal knights in their employ? Knights which might not be aware of the vampiric nature of their employers?

If so, I would be interested, as I'm not overly fond of roleplaying a vampire myself. Of course, if you're keen on the idea of a group of mortals opposing the vampires altogether (as suggested by Woolymamoth45) I'd be up for that too. Just scoping out the different options.

Thanks.

Or if you are interested you could be one of the mortal apprentices to the magicians in my family. :)

I had an idea recently. After training their apprentices for a time, they decide it is time to test their skills, and so go down with their apprentice into the sewers, and work with the apprentice to slay one of those apostates, the insane vampires who could not adjust. This would gain the trust of the apprentice and his family, give the apprentice some experience, remove the insane vampires from the noble vamp's worries, and improve their reputation and hide their condition (hard to be called a vampire when you kill them).

At first I wasn't too sure I wanted to join this one; helping IB brainstorm was the goal I had in mind. Although, after seeing this, I'd like to join in under FC4's family if the two of you would allow it. I've long been waiting to join the IB timeline to see just how far I've come from the first few rp's I joined a few years back. So with that said, if you'll have me FC4, I'd gladly rp an apprentice of Family A who's to be tested in the sewers. If I fail I can surely try again.

The decision is ultimately up to you guys. Thanks.

Oh, that would be just one of few things, and it would likely be a sort of final test or occasional trial for the apprentice, not a constant thing. I've been thinking up a whole history, mindset, and morality to this currently unnamed family (as well as a name). I can either send it to you in a PM IB, or just post it up here. It won't be tremendously detailed, but it will be quite a good summary I think. It's still rolling around in my mind.

I'd like to be a member of one of the families as well, but I want to know their backgrounds first so I can be sure my character would fit in right

So I'm guessing you're accepting?

I agree with Jacki -- a few details via PM would ensure my character is of proper design. Character development is a delicate process after all, is it not? Ha. :hehe:

Anyway, should you PM any details, I could have a character brainstormed and ready to go.

Mind if I manufacture my family's history for you? I've already started brainstorming.

So will this be in ways similar to the Dark Blood Vampire and Were-Creature RP up right now? Of course without the were-creatures.

No it will be nothing like Dark Bloods. Just because theres Vampires doesnt mean it will be the same. Its more of a crime syndicate thing. Think of the vampires as place holders for the usual Italliano mafioso types.

Aww ok. I didn't mean the story and turn out would be the same but the organization of the families and groups. BUT it makes more sense to just wait for the full RP to be set up so I'll wait for my question to be answered then.

I'd like to be in family A. To be more specific I'd like to be a mortal "doll" working for family A, if that's okay.

I'll come up with a more detailed character idea when I see IB's detailed family background.

Some updates. I've begun writing on the families. I'm about half way done with Family A and working with Family B. It seems this will be a bit more in depth then I had planned.
