Three Way Dichotomy of the Mage

Inspired by NobleArchangel's "Three Way Dichotomy of the Mage", I wanted to open up a poll and a discussion on which mage-friendly culture would top the rest among the races of Tamriel. I also added a second poll with extra options of the more popular "subraces", or rather variants, like the Direnni and the witches of the Reach. Although these can be related to other races (Direnni are Altmer, Reachmen are closest to the Bretons), they have very distinct ways of doing magic and have often proven themselves more than capable mages. The idea is to consider the history, lore and general predisposition to magic. I'm sure there are more I could add, like the Ayleids, but they are either not famous enough or just pretty much forgotten.

I'll be looking forward to hearing your opinions and answers!

For me, I would have to go with my traditional choices - the Bretons, because they are more creative and inventive than the rigid Altmer, and the Direnni, because they have pretty much shaped modern conjuration, alchemy and enchanting and were vital pioneers of magic. Not to mention they are badass powerful. My other candidate was the Psijics, but we know less of them actually....
