Throwing Spears : Fallout: New Vegas

Playing through as a melee character, and really looking forward to throwing spears...but where do I get them? I'm going to ally with the Legion, so I don't want to kill them to get them...obviously. Are they something you craft? Do I have to get to a certain point in the story to get them to spawn?

Theres a nexus mod that makes a few changes that you may pick them up again.

Maybe there are some craft schematics too

Haven't done the Legion questline yet, but I'd be very surprised if you can't buy them from any Legion-aligned merchants around.

I was wanting to know the same thing. I know how to make Bleak Venom, but wanted to make a character that would lob poisoned spears at an enemy then charge them with unarmed while the poison eats away at their hit points. So yeah, if you find out please let me know...

Haven't done the Legion questline yet, but I'd be very surprised if you can't buy them from any Legion-aligned merchants around.

It seems the Legion doesn't have any merchants.. Cant find a single one, the possibility to buy faction items was a no brainer to me so this is disappointing.

Extremely dissapointing...might just have to go back to the normal guns playthrough

I bought 1...Yes 1, that is all he had. The merchant at free side... I think it was Mike. He also sells throwing knives. But he also sells weapons of a bit more power if your speech skill is high enough. that is all :flamethrower:

The ones I got were from killing Legionaires. Specifically, I was walking alongside a merchant caravan who killed a group of Legionaires on their journey, and I looted some throwing spears from their corpses.

It just seems strange that thematically Legion is the "melee" faction, and as a melee character who sneaks around it fits to join them, but the only way to get the most unique melee weapon is to kill them.

I found some on the road going past Novac, there should be some dead legion members along the road, and I got some off of them, I killed some golden geckos with them :goodjob:

It wouldn't be so disappointing that they were difficult to find if they were reusable.
