I haven't had a chance to test those ingame, so let me know if there's any problems. It's been a while since I made a weapon, so it's possible I forgot a step or something in the exporting. Also, if need be I could adjust the UVW mapping in case it'd work better if it were different.
Hmm, well, I'm trying to texture it with vanilla textures, so that the weapons will benefit from texture replacers. This also means I'm limited as far as orientation goes. In other words, the UV mapping for the knives is such that it is at an angle. Naturally, you can fit more texture into a square if it is aligned along the diagonal, as opposed to a side. But, the textures in Morrowind - particularly the weapon textures, are usually oriented straight up-and-down. Would it be possible to make the knife textures (the hilt and blades for the curved dagger, and the serrated and straight knives) oriented up-and-down (vertically)? Am I making any sense?
Also, if you have the time... for the throwing stars (let's exclude the swastikas, that is a bit of a charged symbol), if possible, could the UV mapping be set up to something similar to Dragon_Lance's shuriken (found in the first page or so of this thread)? In other words, have all the 'arms' of the throwing star actually use a single texture, with another UV map for a circle (or other polygonal shape) around the center? That'd make it easier to have all the arms look identical.
(I'll let you know how they turn out in-game, and if there needs to be any scaling or orientation changes once I get to the testing phase.)
Thanks bunches, these meshes are beautiful!
