Alright, this is purely theoretical, but..
Say you all of a sudden woke up one day, and instead of being in your bed, you wake up on the ground right outside the gate to Vault 101.
All you have is the clothes on your back (most probably PJs), a Pip-Boy on your wrist, obviously the knowledge you've gained from playtime, and lets throw in a 10mm Pistol with 2 clips.
Now, you don't have to find your father or anything, there are no quests. Just picture yourself to be there, Its hot, barren, dangerous, and unfamiliar.
You stand up, and take a good look of your surroundings. What would you do from this point onwards?

Edit: Suicide is frowned upon ( But if that really is what you would do, Im not gonna stop you. ).. Oh and, don't hesitate to incorporate any skills you might have in real life.

Eg: Good at Science? Head over to Rivet City, and ask Doctor Li to be your mentor.
Enjoy working as a mechanic? Tag along with Tinker Joe, to wherever he goes.
Stuff like that.

I love my house in fallout and if i had a house like that irl i believe i would want for nothing, so i think id get wasted (npi) and enjoy the view

Assuming that I no longer have a family and nothing to live for, I'd use one of those 10mm rounds and take a nice long dirt nap.

I would pinch myself to see if I was dreaming. If it hurt I would only use one of those 10mm bullets.

I would carve a new life out collect guns and ammo and try to better the world one bullet and foe at a time

Head to Megaton and hook up with Moira

if it was the same as the game version i would probaly search the nearby town for clothes (since all i sleep in is a pair of shorts) and grab the grenades from the drop box, head over to silvers and put a bullet tought her head and take what shes got, then head over to megaton and see if sims as any openings for law enforcement after foiling bruke's little bomb threat.

I'd go on a killing spree before dying in a hail of gun fire.

Wait outside Megaton for Crazy Wolfgang's caravan to show up. Kidnap him. Take him to Silver's house. Strangle her. Feed her to some critters. Live happily ever after with Wolfie.

Save the bullets and rig Megatons bomb to explode, then sit on top and go out with a real bang. :nuke:

I would probably walk over to Megaton, avoiding anything that looks dangerous ('cause lets face it, in real life, most people wouldn't stand a chance in the combat situations you find yourself in during Fallout 3, and you don't even have VATS), talk to Burke, and avoiding suspicion, I would tell Lucas Simms that Burke is planning to blow up the bomb. Then, when Simms is about to take away Burke, I'd say something along the lines of "What are you smoking? He's got a silenced 10mm pistol on him, and you're just going to let him walk behind you when he knows you are about to foil his plans?". Then, hopefully, I'd get rewarded in some way, possibly with a house. Then, I'd start my career as an architect in Megaton to solve overpopulation in the city. Possibly, one day I'd move to Rivet City if there are any job opportunities there, possibly as expanding the city outside of the ship. I'd do that until I can retire, or until I'd die.

I'd seek out the lone wanderer and do my best to help him on his journey. I think he'd be one of the only people in the entire wasteland that I could relate to. Both of us have lost the normal cosy life we had, I think we'd make a good team.

I'd go over to Megaton and hook up with Lucy West. Then go behind Megaton to the Hollowed Rock and get the stuff in there. Then become a Regulator and help the Lone Wanderer on his quest.

hmm well i certainly wouldn't [censored] out and kill myself. I'd make my way to Springvale and introduce myself to Silver and make her feel safe then BAM! back of the head with a frying pan before she can pull her .32 on me. then i'd have my way with her before executing her and dumping her body in the nearby trash cans down the block. i'd probably live there and with the caps I'd made off Silver I'd do some trade in megaton: some type of armor(leather, perhaps) and maybe a hunting rifle and combat knife. some food(well, until Silver's-my- stash runs out). find a job to get a steady income, and avoid raiders & super mutants at all costs.

First, I would walk to the hollowed-out rock near Megaton, clean it out, and sell all the contents to Moira in Megaton. Since I have no expertise on how to fire a weapon of any kind, I would probably help out with the wasteland survival guide by preferably killing any obstacles with a stab in the back. When it is published, I will live comfortably and famously in Tennpenny tower and be adored by many for my expertise and knowledge in writing such a fantastic book.

I'd try my best to survive and probably end up getting chewed up and spit out, but at least I didn't take the easy way out. Like the Lone Wanderer/Vault Dweller I'd probably look for some kind of settlement or shelter or just some people. After that if I even survived that long I'd look for some kind of job I could do to earn some caps and find some decent threads to wear so I don't feel so exposed in my PJs. Then most likely a rifle or other long ranged weapon so If I had to use it I could at least keep a good distance and stay out of sight.

Megaton's only like two minutes away. Take the short walk and live as a Wastelander until I have the supplies to head out of there and try to join up with Raiders.

People need to be realistic. If this actually happened to any of us, we would quietly...or loudly, go mad and last maybe a few minutes until a molerat or a raider took our head off.

You're kidding, right? Megaton is literally right there. You can sit there and whine and pull the trigger on yourself if you want to, but I wanna die with dignity, at least. I'd rather take my chances out in the unforgiving wastes than sit around crying about my problems.

I think, after a good cry, I'd head for Megaton, make friends with Jericho (he has a lot of caps put away after all), stake out a bed in the Common House and make a plan for the future. I would be seriously disappointed in the food, I'm sure, and the lack of coffee. Eventually, I think I'd like to explore, but I'd need to make some caps and get some decent gear first. I think Ghouls has the right idea (not keeping Wolfgang but joining up with him anyway), I think I'd hitch on to a caravan and do it that way. I'd try hard to talk Jericho into coming with me. I'd want the protection.
