Tiber Septim = Lorkhan?

Post » Mon Mar 28, 2011 4:21 am

I've read that Tiber Septim, Wulfharth, and Zurin Arctus are all different aspects of Lorkhan, and that the Ninth Divine is actually a combination of these three beings. Does that mean that when Tiber Septim ascended to godhood, Lorkhan reclaimed his influence over the universe?

Since his body seems to be spread out in pieces everywhere, i think there will be some assembly required before he can do much of anything.

While it is true that all of these characters are "aspects", and the composite oversoul ascended to fill the position, it is not true that the ascended is equal to the original. Merely a reasonable facsimile. Close enough to do the job, but not quite complete as far as re-building the doom drum.

The shoe fit, so he/they wore it. End of story.

They're all echoes of Lorkhan, not him in the flesh. Ask yourself in what way the current ninth divine acts like any aspect of the Missing God. It's like Talos gathered the echoes of Lorkhan in order to win a singing contest- echoes sound the best. And now he seems to do his own thing.

He and Hjati/Wulfharth mantled Lorkhan to create Talos. So Talos filled the Hole left by Lorkhan.

Mmh, might be worth mentioning Shezarr who has gone Missing and the whole stick about having the roughly the same Eight Gods in each Phanteon before getting into the Lorkhan-regrouping thing.

For Shezarr and and the Phanteons:

Why Tiber and an avatar of Shor were sharing an indentity:

http://www.imperial-library.info/mwbooks/arcturian.shtml

Why it matters:

Tiber Septim: "The Stormcrown manted by way of the fourth: the steps of the dead. Mantling and incarnation are separate roads; do not mistake this. The latter is built from the cobbles of drawn-bone destiny. The former: walk like them until they must walk like you. This is the death children bring as the Sons of Hora." - http://www.imperial-library.info/obscure_text/nu-hatta.shtml
