[RELz] Tie + Frans

I should have been more clear, sorry, I need to see which bandit you're talking about (there are many) and what TES4Edit shows their inventory as in the bashed patch. Otherwise it's impossible to say for certain whether the iron armor is normal or not. It wouldn't be out of place for a marauder, but a genuine bandit? That's questionable.

Well, I couldn't find the exact bandit in question, but I remembered enough about his location, race, etc to know where to get a general idea to find someone like him in TES4Edit. And checking the TIE.esp file, it seems like it's normal in T.I.E. for Bandit Ringleaders to have a full set of Iron or even Steel Armor.

So I guess there's nothing unusual. Just that T.I.E. introduces various bandits that sometimes wear heavy armor. Very different from the norm, but I guess that's what makes T.I.E. so awesome.

Sorry for wasting your time there, if I did.

Ah, yes, from Ringleaders I'd expect a bit more in the way of equipment.

Peter ID, on 29 September 2010 - 04:37 AM, said: (In TIE Thread)

ITPaladin:

I am looking to try Tie+Frans also. I am downloading the files now and loooking at Arthmoor's readme. My problem is that sometimes I get too literal and not make the assumptions I should.
I understand the ESM tags for Frans but also assume I need to choose the ESPs. And if I BOSS the Frans ESPs, I am hoping that tags do not get added to it as Arthmoor does not mention these.

Or should I assume I just need the ESM friles from Frans and Arthmoors Tie+frans NPC Inventory.esp handles the esp work?

If you have the time, can you post your Frans installation steps? Or better yet, what Frans ESP files do you have? Did BOSS sort the list correctly for you?

FROM Arthmoor:

Ahem. This doesn't directly pertain to TIE so it would really be more appropriate in the proper thread for the subject. It's feeling lonely and could use a bump

FROM Peter ID:

Sorry Arthmoor, did not realize this was here. Anyway, I think I understand now, but correct me if I am wrong:

Just having the Frans ESM files is enough to get Frans content into my TIE+Frans game.
To make sure I get the full TIE experience, I do not want any of the Frans oprional esp files.
I need to use the tags you specified and remove any extra tags that are assigned by BOSS to Frans.

Do I get a passing score or do I need to take the test over?

Sounds right to me. If Frans has extra tags in BOSS it wouldn't surprise me. I haven't actually been using it for awhile now because I got sick of dealing with the calipers bug and didn't feel like running hacks to fix it. The information may be a bit stale so I'll have to check BOSS to see what tags have been added or changed. I already adjusted the OP to reflect that TIE should no longer use the Actors.AIPackages tag.

I didn't see that.

I should remove that tag from TIE then, only when using with this Frans setup?

It should be removed period, TIE doesn't need the AI packs tag.

I think I asked you in the PM once if the tags you list are in addition to what is already tagged by default or do we strip out what is already tagged.

For example, TIE has

TIE.esp {{BASH:Actors.ACBS,Actors.AIData,Actors.DeathItem,Actors.Spells,Actors.Stats,C.RecordFlags,Delev,Invent,NpcFaces,Relations,Relev,Scripts}}

listed, but also has Names and Stats tagged.

It should keep the Stats tag, but lose the Names tag. I guess I need to update the BOSS tags now :P

FYI - The Nexus download for this has been moved to the http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35265 where I figure it'll get a bit more exposure than being off by itself.
