TIE - Tamriel Immersion Experience

Post » Wed Mar 09, 2011 1:17 pm

Realistic Leveling is compatible with TIE. TIE doesn't really touch on PC skills and attributes so just about any leveling mod is compatible. Haldir, post your load order and I can probably tell you what the problem is. It seems that I had that same problem too but I don't remember exactly what was causing it.

Hi Samuro,

please find below my LO from Wrye Bash 287. And yes, I run BOSS.

You should start from TIE only and work your way up one mod at a time.

TIE>Play>add>play>add>play...til you find the mod that causes the problem.

Make sure you installed OBSE 18 correctly. DLLs in the OBSE>Plugins folder, etc.

I am using 19.4 since one of TNO's mods requires it.

ha, might aswell. i can easily import my char into the game with the face importer thing :) well, i'll test it with just TIE first then, if it works i'll start adding my mods :)

Wollibeebee, when you extracted your OBSE mod, what directory did you put it in? You didn't put it in the data folder did you?

Haldir, I think my problem lied within nGCD. Disable the three nGCD plugins you have and try to walk out. Other than that, though everything looks fine. I assume you're using OBSE, too, right?

I used TIE, RBP, LAME, and Integration. They are all compatible. Well, at least I never had any problems with them. But, said mods do most just add content and do not overlap any TIE features I can think of.

Did you use the npc diversification options in RPB, and if so did they fit in well with TIE?

Good to know it's OK to use realistic levelling.

so i started another game, but it's the same, CTDing at random and when changing cells.

Oblivion.esm

any ideas?

Requirements

Oblivion patched to latest official version.
Shivering Isles

TIE needs to have Shivering Isle Installed and So I do not see DLCShiveringIsle.esp in any of your load order that you have posted. So most likely that could be the problem once again

Ahh yes. Corepc is right. Funny that that is the simplest thing to think of and we couldn't pin it down.

Shoestring- I did use the NPC diversification, TNR, IIRC. TIE incorporates TNR so use that one and I had not problems. I do not use this setup anymore though but when I did, it worked without any problems.

crap. i didn't mention it in the readme, i was wondering what was up with the bone arrows on goblins being the those damned yellow errors, so i'd been getting suspicius. i dont have SI, they didn't sell GOTY when i got OB (said they's "stop producing them") so i got knight... from somewhere.....hmm.

Honestly, I think SI is worth the price. It is required by a decent amount of mods and the vanilla SI in itself is a good deal. It is a unique landscape and decently large too. I have fun with it.

Just checked on Steam and it is $9 for SI.

Steam may have another deal again who knows. I got the whole thing for ~$8 and change.

The nice thing with Steam is you can always redownload lost files. Downside is no discs. I suppose you could always download the entire thing, then backup the default Oblivion to a dvd (bsa's, esp, patches, DLCs, Data folder, exe) to keep redownloads for reinstall to a minimum.

You also don't have to deal with using the OBSE launcher with Steam.

Hi Samuro,

thx for your attention. I sure use OBSE.

But I really can`t understand what content in a leveling mod like nGCD could lead to this heavy fighting. Do you have any theory on that?
I`m not doubting your experience on your system, only looking for some kind of logic(or lack of it) behind it all.

38 Enemy Actors Use Powers 0.1.1.esp
39 Birthsigns Expanded.esp [Version 3.11.]

I took a look at the first and that seems to be highly in beta.
Does that work with BE using BE's version of signs on NPCs?

Hi,

no, it doesn`t. Enemy actors use only vanilla birthsign powers. So my approach is strange for a purist but I decided to live with regardless as it makes NPC:s much more dangerous anyway.
Also, this mod seems actually quite stable and trouble free. I just hope development continues, it`s been awfully quiet there for a long time.

Arthmoor, just dropping a quick note to let you and the other members know that the official site will be taken down permanently by tomorrow evening. Thanks so much for carrying the torch with these mods, Arthmoor. They were community based efforts. :)

Haldir, I am sorry. I, for some reason, thought you were having trouble leaving the sewer. I have no idea what I was thinking of when I posted last. But, onto the real problem...
I think that those faction wars are quite common and are a mechanic of the game. That being said, though, have you updated your Ren's Guard Overhaul recently? He has been updating it very often and is now up to version 2.52, IIRC. I would make sure you are up to date with that mod.

I'm planning on installing TIE instead of FCOM this time through Oblivion, and was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of some information on the recommended method of installation, what mods would be compatible/incompatible with it, or even some recommendations for mods to go with it?

Sorry if this was already covered in this topic; I'm multitasking right now and rushing to finish a project I need to turn in tomorrow, so I didn't have time to read the whole thing.

Mods that alter leveled lists will have issues but even then mostly thematic (especially when using Wrye Bash). Everything conflicts - the point is what do you want to have win.

I use TIE in my game and handles a lot but then there are other mods I prefer for other areas.

Hi Samuro,

Don`t fret over this.

Yes, I use RGO 2.52. The problem seems to be that when NPC:s can`t pay the fine they prefer fighting rather than jail.
Which leads to their death, sooner rather than later.

Thanks for referring me to those! It seems that I won't have to be quite as compatibility-minded with this as I was with FCOM, then. On a related note, do you have any recommendations as to what mods go well with TIE?
