TIm and Eric on advlt Swim

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 10:32 am

There are only two shows worth watching on Cartoon Network, and I'm not even sure that the second is still carried by them:
1. The Clone Wars
2. Futurama

If you have more than 4 functioning brain cells you will find nothing redeeming in the rest of their programming at any time of day or night.
I would disagree with this premise - at least give http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1X2tTzDufE&list=SL and The Venture Bros. a shot. May not like them, but I find them both to be high-quality programs (with http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w97qGaYfzq8&NR=1 being perhaps my favorite cartoon of all time).

I really hate anything on cartoon network that isn't animated. i usually just dvr teh stuff i want to watch, they used to have this weird icelandic ultrablue commercial on when i woke up in the morning, pissed me off so much, they showed it everyday for like a week

also adventure time is algebraic! Venture bros, superjail, cowboy bebop (i know its old) the fox stuff, its all good

I totally forgot about Venture Bros. That isn't a terrible show, and it gets bonus points for using the voicework of one Patrick Warburton.

Ditto. Patrick's the only reason I even bother watching the occasional Venture Bros. episode. He's quite easily my favorite voice actor of all time.

I love most of the advlt Swim Lineup. Family Guy, King of the Hill, Metalacolypse, Robot Chicken, Squidbillies (favorite), Moral Orel (also a fav), ect

Eagleheart is OK, Childrens Hospital is watchable but not pleasant.

Tim and Eric is unwatchable. I cant stand it, and I dont watch it, I turn my TV off everynight while its on, but my problem is that I have to turn off my TV, and Squidbillies should be on instead.

advlt Swim is ridiculous...

They keep idiotic shows like T&E but cut some of the best shows they have ever had like Moral Orel and Home Movies...

I don't get it really. I think the show is mainly for people who use mind altering chemicals.
Most of advlt Swim shows have no plots and just do random stuff. Think Aqua Team Hunger Force or squid Billies. Don't care for these shows.

I don't like random crap, I like a plot a story something to go by, not just craziness.

Home movies and morel orel were good, I agree with the guy atop me.

Oh and Venture Bros is the best thing on advlt swim IMO. I love it!

I miss Home Movies! Oh, and The Oblongs!!!!! Oh how I loved the Oblongs. Moral Orel is good too, why don't they show those shows anymore?!

Oblongs, Oblongs, Way down in the valley where the chemicals spill!

I feel you. course, I take it one step further by absolutely despising every show that is not animated on advlt Swim. Childrens Hospital, Tim & eric show, mighty boosh or whatever the hell it is, I can't stand ANY of those [censored] shows.

Really, the channel has become mostly unwatchable for me.

Do they have building codes for that rock you're living under? :P

Seriously, however, advlt Swim is Cartoon Network's "late-night" programming. It used to be filled with anime and cartoons until Cartoon Network / AS got the idea that live-action programming was where it's at. Thus shows such as Delocated, The Mighty Boosh, Tim and Eric Awesome Show and most recently Eagleheart were created / syndicated - all of them are what I like to call "stupid comedies." They all rely on a variation of the absurdity principle - if it's oddball or gross (especially in the Tim and Eric Awesome Show's case) they will air it in some form. Delocated, The Mighty Boosh and Eagleheart have legitimate plots, or so I hear, but Tim and Eric Awesome Show is more of a comedic sketch program.

I dislike them. And yet I find myself enthralled by Adventure Time. Maybe because it's animated and has John DiMaggio as a voice actor.

I've never watched anything on advltswim (the whole not having access to it) and I may have got the wrong end of the stick on what you're saying. But Mighty Boosh wasn't created for advlt Swim it was a stage show first then Radio then BBC comedy show.

If I have got the wrong end of the stick I apologize.

Adventure Time is quite a charming show, I like it, I love the Venture Bros. I miss The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack and Chowder. Aqua Team Rules and Tom and Eric need to go, I don't like them, I hate their show and I wish CN would stop showing it.
