So this is not the most productive thread, but I hate Tim and Eric so much that I felt the need to create a thread just so my opinion could be heard. Nothing about that show is funny, it makes me angry with how stupid it is, and I just would like to punch those guys in the face.

Well, at least you admit this is spam. As for the show, I don't really care for it. Sometimes it makes me chuckle, other times it makes me want to burn out my eyes (Who doesn't go nvde on that show at least once?). Still, I'd rather watch an episode of that than any running reality show.

I feel you. course, I take it one step further by absolutely despising every show that is not animated on advlt Swim. Childrens Hospital, Tim & eric show, mighty boosh or whatever the hell it is, I can't stand ANY of those [censored] shows.

Actually most of advlt swims originals svck. ATHF and The Brak Show are the only good original stuff and they don't even show Brak anymore

I actually enjoyed some of The Mighty Boosh. But I agree with the rest. Delocated, Children's Hospital, Tim and Eric, etc. I do dislike them a bit.

I find that advlt Swim entertains me more the more tired or out of it I am. There's just something about turning off your brain and allowing the absurdity of the programming to enter your mind. It's almost an art to watch some of the painfully bad and off key programming they air during their reign of CNN late night(and who could forget their hand picked, finely selected, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfjAwDas7b0). Maybe [AS] is something that can only be appreciated in the right mindset ?

I rather like it; the completely over the top and outdated editing, the general anti-comedy. Speaking of anti-comedy, it is fitting that Neil Hamburger, who is brilliant, was once a guest on the show. I guess I can understand why someone wouldn't like it, though, same with The Mighty Boosh, which I enjoyed even more (love the obscure music references).

I dunno, I'm usually pretty snobby about shows I like, but I'm a svcker for both 'Tim and Eric Awesome Show' AND 'Tom Goes to the Mayor'. I think, like Timehat said, it's so obviously intentionally ridiculous you just can't help but laugh.

The only thing I find entertaining on advlt Swim is Family Guy, Futurama, and a few animes.

Seriously, however, advlt Swim is Cartoon Network's "late-night" programming. It used to be filled with anime and cartoons until Cartoon Network / AS got the idea that live-action programming was where it's at. Thus shows such as Delocated, The Mighty Boosh, Tim and Eric Awesome Show and most recently Eagleheart were created / syndicated - all of them are what I like to call "stupid comedies." They all rely on a variation of the absurdity principle - if it's oddball or gross (especially in the Tim and Eric Awesome Show's case) they will air it in some form. Delocated, The Mighty Boosh and Eagleheart have legitimate plots, or so I hear, but Tim and Eric Awesome Show is more of a comedic sketch program.

I dislike them. And yet I find myself enthralled by Adventure Time. Maybe because it's animated and has John DiMaggio as a voice actor.

1. The Clone Wars
2. Futurama
