So I've pretty much reached a new level of nerd-dom. I have created a new character in Oblivion.

Name?: Palpatine

Race: Breton

Sign:Atronach

Class: Sith Lord

Major Skills:
Blade (lightsaber)
Destruction (Unlimited... POWAAAHHHH!)
Mysticism: (telekinesis=force powers)
Alteration (locks could be opened by the force... I guess)
Speechcraft (he had to be persuasive to gain control of the empire)
conjuration (when it gets high enough, I'll use it to summon swords for a lightsaber effect)
Sneak (because I couldn't think of anything else.)

So what do you think? I have joined the Mage's Guild (The Jedi) and wear necromancer robes all the time, unless I'm in the mages guild, obviously.

Interesting idea, but what about Illusion or Restoration instead of Sneak? Illusion for making people do what you want them to, or Restoration for healing yourself with the power of the Force.

Oops... well now it's a little late. I'm level 15 and grinding is a pain on the xbrick. perhaps next time on that idea. I also plan on being head of all guilds, and saving the world because if there's one thing The Dark Lord of the Sith doesn't want, Its something as evil as he is.

I agree with mirocu's Illusion suggestion. Illusion seems perfect to me. It's too bad you waited level 15 to ask us what we thought.

Do you play on the PC? I'd suggest a mod that allows you to join the Elder Council, much like Palpatine was Chancellor of the Republic. If you don't you could always roleplay by sitting in the Elder Council chambers.

Indeed it is, my young padawan friend. I also have the deepscorn hollow DLC, and use the dark minion as my personal "apprentice".

Also, I must add that I find it incredibly amusing, in a somewhat immature way, to walk around listening to the Imperial March and saying "unlimited power!" occasionally after I kill something with lightning, as I can do a fairly decent Palpatine impression if I say so myself. My friends, who are just as immature as me, also find this "Hilarious as testicles"

i like this idea, shame you can't use a glass katana, that would look like a lightsaber.

For what's available in game, I think the glass claymore would work okay as a light saber.

A glass claymore is probably the closest you can get to a light saber in the vanilla game - it's green, though, so your Sith Lord is a bit of a noob and didn't read the fine print in "Sith Lord For Dummies".

Illusion would have been much better! Those damn Jedi (err... Sith?) mind tricks...

If I'd been thinking more clearly I would have used Illusion instead of sneak. Oh well. and as for weapons, at the moment I'm actually using a glass longsword, as claymores seem to be hiding from me. And what the hell, I can train up Illusion on my own anyway.

And @SubRosa: thank you for the info. I'll get my hands on some, as It gets annoying to have to take them off everytime someone from the mages guild is nearby. and they don't want to see the old man in his skivvies, I'm sure.

Side not for destruction: obviosly only use FORCE LIGHTNING!!!

Obviously, as what self-respecting Jedi would use fire, or god/s forbid ice! But yeah, only electricity for me, destruction-wise.

Well I did have this idea for a giant space station...

I watch Star Wars also and I have a few suggestions for this char. Change his birthsign, Palpatine and other force users have a near infinite supply of force energy. Also change sneak to acrobatics(force jump). Also the Black Hand robe or Black robe is a much better choice than the Necromancers robes as it looks more like Palpatine's robes. Anyway that is a neat idea you have there, I tried something similar on my PC with lightsaber mods.
