It's time to make a statement Bethesda...

Post » Tue Dec 13, 2011 1:12 am

I'll keep this short and to the point. The literal majority of customer comments now revolve on how a series of patches have broken the game. These type of posts are only occasionally interrupted, and in fact emphasized, by desperate "Bethesda lovers sign here xoxoxo" threads from the "defend no matter what" crowd.

Whatever you want to say about the recent series of events and buglists hundreds of items long - it is time to say something.

Yes, because there's no better time to make a statement than 11 pm on a worknight.

They didn't respond to the other 800 or so threads. What makes yours any different?

Today has to be the funniest day on this forum in a long time. You're like politicians condemning the Taliban or something with these complaint threads.

If they issue a statement at all, it won't come until tomorrow at this point. Doubt we'll even see that. If we're lucky we might see something on Twitter, as that seems to be the only way developers these days actually communicate with the outside world.

I don't know. I think I'm just as upset by the patches *not* fixing gameplay bugs that are still holding me up. As I've said elsewhere, it's time to worry less about release dates and more about debugging.

Love the game. I play on 360 and have zero issues with the game.

Because 20 people and three repeatedly making duplicate accounts is the entire customer base.

advlts understand how the real world works, and how to get people to respond in a positive manner that ultimately benefits all involved.

Kids make threads demanding things and expect that they're entitled to demand whatever they want, regardless of their behavior.

Maybe some will call my remarks immature, but the fact is that all I've seen on this forum in the wake of the patch is rampant immaturity and spiteful petulance. And whatever you might think of my remarks, I tend to call it like I see it, and I can do so without having to resort to vulgarities.

This isn't really the way to go about getting the communication you want, and maybe one day some of you who keep making threads demanding attention and such will realize and understand that.

Well good for you. But there are people who don't play on a limited, outdated system that are having issues because the crappy engine does not work for sophisticated platforms. ;)

I have been here 2 years and posted over 600 times, mostly as one of the defend at all costs guys. bethesda has never been the "screw the customer with drm" kind of company, and while i understand the use of steam, d2d and other sources on the internet for easy purchase, its begining to come at a cost to performance, there is no reason that we shouldnt be able to use a large address aware patch.

I have never been one to knock bethesda they are my favorite developer, but ithink its time for an explenation.

Wait, we have breaking news that Tom Howerd has just been kidnapped by a shadowy group known as Duh Complainerz, they've taken him to their crystal palace and are forcing him to play Skyrim until he fixes the bugs all by himself, and are demanding a ransom of 10 million sweetrolls. We'll have more news shortly.

I have come to respect the silence, Anything they will have to offer up to the use-rbase will be torn apart, plastered all over "critic sites" and the ad-sense hits will generate tons of septims. Stick to your guns Beth, hold your cards close to your chest(s) but you had better keep a few up your sleeve(s) and in your boot(s).

I like many, was there for it. meaning the forums, how that sub-forum was created for "registered users" and how so many insults were passed along to the staff.
