Time Management: What do you do to be more efficient with

Something I've been increasingly interested/obsessed with is being more efficient or effective with time management. by which i mean, accomplishing as many tasks as possible in as little amount of time or as little effort as possible. Examples.

What I do when I want to eat. I don't just cook. While my food is cooking, provided it doesn't need continous tinkering (like eggs or something), I will go brush my teeth and take care of hygiene tasks. When the food is done I don't just eat the food, I will watch TV shows or youtube videos, etc that I am trying to get caught up on.

Its not just about multitasking, its waiting/planning to do stuff in a way that requires the least amount of trips/actions. Like if i need groceries I don't just go out and get them when I need them, I will wait until I am going to drive to a friends house to hang out and do that and any other errends that need to be done on the way there.

point of thread: does any one else think this way non stop, and what are the things you do to this purpose and what clever ways have you become more efficient?

brushing teeth while cooking :huh: That sounds terrible, then your food is going to taste off when it's ready :yuck:

How about pooping and eating? That could shave some time...when you're hungry and have to go at the same time that is.

nah, that is when i read up stuff on my smart phone and text people

@defron, the hygiene thing while cooking arose from it becoming increasingly more difficult to get my self out of bed to do those tasks. So I started coming up with ways that i could accomplish hygiene that I NEED to take care of with out having to go out of my way to specificly do that. also, the minty flavor goes away when i drink my hourly supply of water.

Time management is a hard skill. But, what you need is a game plan for the day, and whether you have all the resources at hand for the day. You also need goals and knowing how to prioritize goals.

Now, you want a smooth day? Use your judgment. I personally will not leave the stove on when I'm brushing my teeth.

brushing before eating is better than not brushing at all that day, because you forgot.

Well since i've started this habit I've actually been microwaving ramen or soup, didn't want to stand around doing nothing while the timer goes down so i tried to come up with something to pass the time. But this one time man... I left my oven on for a week. For some reason i was having some bizzarre episode where I could not understand my ovens dials. hard to explain, but basicly i just couldn't not correctly turn the knob. from on to off.
