Time Zone Question

Post » Tue Aug 19, 2014 9:32 pm

Alright, so this has been bothering me for a while now, but only decided to actually ask about it now.

Let's say I'm EST/EDT-- But when I set my profile to account for EST/EDT, it sets me back an hour which sometimes trips me up. So while it would be 10:27 AM right now, all posts are read an hour prior (9:27 AM). I'm just curious if this is a standard thing for everyone or if I'm just messed up somehow. Obviously I can just click another timezone to adjust the right time, but would bother me lol

Is the box checked that says "Automatically detect when my timezone is in DST"?

Also make sure that you aren't getting logged out. If you're viewing posts and you aren't logged into your account, the board will use it's default time zone.

Wow.. I wish I checked that box off. I always looked at it and said, "Meh".

I appreciate the help.

I find it weird that a company based in Eastern uses Central time as the default.
