Why not have certain influential merchants in Anvil doing life hell for the Reddies? Hiring pirates, bribing the crew to take the ship and leave, keep Sentinelian ships in the Anvil harbour forever by getting them caught in beaurocracy? That stuff. The Sentinelian king asked the Count of Anvil to stop these merchants from destroying the Sentinelian trade, however the Count of Anvil is happy to give the Sentinelians a headache. He is also afraid what it will cost him to remove the merchants. Assasination attempts, trade going bad, outlanders taking over... No more bribes (?).

Sentinel then gives an ultimatium:
Stop the influential merchants from destroying Sentinelian trade (this would basically mean stripping them off their power in different ways)
OR
Get attacked by the Reddies who are sick and tired, and tired and sick of the Anvilians plotting against them. Payback time.

Anvil refuses.
War is declared.
The Elven Dominion joins in on the side of the Reddies.

Then this RP decides.

Whaddyathink? I may join, not sure.

Are the Nords going to have any single leader? Or are they going to be kind of a mass of tribes? Either way, I can take something to do with the Nords if you'd like?

Yea this certain Nordic group has one leader. The thing with the nords I imagine during this time, is that they are sort of like the migrating Germanic tribes during the 300s AD etc. If you want to lead the nords that would be great.

Sentinel won't send the Barca's or Ayuub's to strike Anvil unless Anvil did something to provoke us. PM me so we can discuss it.

Yea PFA told me that too. They'll just be regular Redguard troops + whatever. The reason being is that Anvil is 'interfering' with the unification of Hammerfell or whatever. Basically slowly becoming the leader of the Imperial oriented cities in southern hammerfell.

Hmm, so it's basically Anvil and Nords versus Sentinel and the Hammerfell cities plus Dominion elves? Sounds fun :goodjob:

Any chance of me taking a role with the Dominion? I'm not the best in war RPs, but this sounds like a great place to start :)

So, would that be mostly Altmer, or a majority of Bosmer coming from Valenwood? Or Altmer officers ruling over Bosmer main troops with goblin infantry? Sounds great :D

Yea most people avoid the Aldmeri Dominion so i'll take whoever. Your armies would be composed probably of Altmer elite, decent mages, some elite units and the rest a mixture of goblins and levied bosmer archers. Working with PFA and Verlox now to build their armies and then ill do nords and altmer.

Anvil will not sit idly by while it's trade rights are infringed upon by an upstart monarchy.

Progress on the Anvil information sheet moves forward. Question, would it be acceptable if the four forts (Crowhaven, Sutch, Wariel, and Hastrel) were retaken and turned into fortifications for Anvil's standing military?

Anyone want to join me in putting to rout the savages?

The Cyrodiils have been routed before by the Warrior Wave, we can do it again. You guys should just realize messing with us isn't in your best interest.

Bastard.

Anvil seems to be infringing on our trade. However I can't see how a fragment of what Sentinel has faced before would cause any more of a head ache.

However I'm sure there are those in whats left of the Cyrodiil Empire who would love to see the Cyrodiil seperatists have their ass handed to them.

Remember Duval, all others make way :grad: .

Yeah, go elves! :P

Anyway, so you are messaging us the basic layout of our armies, correct? I'll probably have a good bit of time to work on that today, so most of my sheet and army should be finished soon. Does anyone care to join me, or is everyone taking other factions?

Thanks :)

Once we get the basic outline of the actual armies of Anvil and Sentinel themselves that will be participating I will work with the individual leaders of the other allied forces.

So do you want us to send you military sheets, with all the numbers and descriptions?

Alright, I can do that.

What about my last question? Is it appropriate if Anvil reoccupies those four forts?

Oh yea sure. The general area belongs to Anvil by all means.

Also I want to stress to everyone that troops don't have to be homogeneous. This isn't Imperials and Nords vs Redguards and Altmer. It's two political groups fighting one another. Although race and ethnicity plays a role in that, just as in history, people are not limited on their races. That is to say for example in an Anvil army you may find Imperial pikemen, Bosmer archers and Redguard cavalry all loyal and competent citizens of Anvil itself. In general the predominant race of the faction should be present...I don't think the Nords will have a bunch of Argonian soldiers. But just keep things in perspective with a realistic understanding of how things work.

You'd think that but some people...

Anyway for Anvil I have Verlox and Duval right now.

For Sentinel I have PFA, and Wooly.

Who had the Nordic and Aldmeri allies?

I believe Blademaster wanted the Nords, and Darkom was looking at the Dominion.

Well considering the economic shambles Sentinel is in after having what little farmable territory in such a barren wasteland was ravaged by the allied armies, the terrific damage to the city itself and the surplus of homeless peasants you have I can well understand the need for you to leech off of better off neighbors. Piracy and banditry on a grand scale...

It's a shame you cant just eat sand and keep to yourself.

You should tell that to the dominion. They haven't made many friends meddling in everyone's business. But it's been a few years since SoS. Haroun has been raising his military. Regardless of the economic state of the country, the military is there by default, and they are going to do their job. ;)

Furthermore, I believe Anvil should be destroyed!
