Tips about Navmesh Optimization

I have a massive one cell dungeon. For certain reasons, it cannot be cut up into smaller cells. Anyways, I recently did the recast navmesh generation and it took about 10 mins to generate all the navmesh. Some of the navmesh are cut into chunks, and I was reading through the ck site and they said you pretty much always have to do some navmesh optimization by hand. Now this isn't my first dungeon I've navmeshed, but I've never thought about "optimizing" my navmesh. Seeing as how I have a very large dungeon that will no doubt take a long time to create paths in game, I would really like to have my navmesh optimized well.

Anyone know any tips on navmesh "optimization"?
