Tips for going without sleeping two nights?

Post » Fri Mar 28, 2014 11:51 am

I am not planning on sleeping sunday night and monday night because I'll be playing the game

But am afraid my stupid brain will try to convince me otherwise

What are tips to stay awake for more than one night without sleep? like what kind of food, energy drinks, etc?

Doesnt sound healthy at all to put your body through that, atleast take a 2 hour nap or something. The game isnt going anywhere.

Did you know that missing sleep can cause much more long term brain damage than originally thought. Like years before you might make up the deficit. Get some sleep.

That doesn't work, you get very tired, coffee by the gallons is much better.

You want to go hard and fast? Take 2-4 hour naps. Have direct sunlight shining on you when it is day time, and make sure you get up and walk around every 40 minutes for about 5 minutes.

If you don't sleep, you will make mistakes, get frustraited about getting killed, accuse others of hacking, call the game stupid and eventually rage quit ,burning every single bridge you made and calling the GMs moronic 2 year olds that were doomed to be idiots the rest of their lives!

Not that it happened to me personally, but I know a guy...

Don't. The first one to the level cap will be a toon played in shifts by a team of guildies. No way you're going to beat them so take your time and enjoy the journey.

Dont try that. You will be sorry.

Better get your normal rest. Its just an game. And you cant play all the 800 hours to 50 at 1 evening or 2 anyways.

Why even? After not sleeping two nights you will sleep even more the day after and the day after. So totally there is no benefit. It's all made up in your mind. But please, dont sleep two nights and see your IRL health drop. For self-experience, it's worth it and I am totally honest with that.

I can not even get over the first night properly without my stomach feeling completely upside down at around 5am, feeling cold and the list goes on. Nah. There are ways with which you never have to sleep anymore, because your body is so loaded on energy, but willingly not sleeping like this, does not work.

Sleep? What's that?

I only get about 1 to 2 hours a day. It's been this way for many, many years.

I've gone 168 hours (that's one week), three times in my life without sleeping. I don't use drugs or stims to do it. It just happens when I go camping. I don't sleep when I camp.

Therefore, I game a lot and have a lot of hobbies.

You shouldn't take on more than one night per session, something like 34 hours max, after that, there is nothing you want more in the world than sleep.

My tip. Don't. Lack of sleep is just as bad or worse than drunkenness. http://www.cnn.com/2014/03/19/health/sleep-loss-brain-damage/index.html?hpt=hp_t2

But if you insist, I find having a demanding boss making unreasonable promises that puts you in the cross hairs of a really tight deadline helps keep you up.

Better off with power naps. Overloading caffeine, if your body isn't used to it, will just make you crash after a certain point. If you ARE used to it, it won't have the effect you want anyway :)

Make sure to keep eating food (solid stuff, not sugar/sweets) and take the occasional power nap to refresh the brain.

Get your sleep when you can, because the next chance you get to play, it will all backfire on you.

Caffeine is the same problem . Even if it sems more "harmless:

Some cups of coffee an day are ok. But to much is to much. Proved.
