I'm trying to give this weapon a whirl. Anyone like using this one, and how do you have good success with it? Not asking about perks and such. Just for actual combat situations. I'm having a tough time talking myself out of going back to Thump Thump. I just seem to get better results when I stick to a 40mm grenade rifle.

Afaik it doesn't shoot in an arc and the grenades fly faster and farther than 40mms. Plus 25mm ammunition weighs half as much in hardcoe mode. Make of that what you want.

The apw is one of the few explosives weapons (along with grenade machine guns and Red Glare) that I prefer to use outside VATS. Of course you should mod it to unleash it's full potential.

I never wanted 40mm anymore after I got the 25mm Grenade APW.

Lets see, it shoots farther, with more accuracy (no arc) has more shots before it needs to be repaired, ammo is easier to find (and can be shared with the Grenade MG). What's not to love?

If your used to the 40mm, you do have to aim differently, and remember you can take out targets that are farther away.

It's pretty much a good all-rounder explosive weapon.

Good damage, good accuracy and it can shoot timed rounds around corners. It doesn't even use Mercy's 40mm ammo.
