I've been playing multiplayer for a few days now and have made it to level 11 :D But now im getting put in standard matches going up against level50's with max everything and i get owned every match. This is my first fps game so im still a newbie.

Any hints or tips you could give me to help me along? (:

Well, a few tips then:

Try to stay away for the open terrain, move along walls and objects, hide to recharge after a kill (if you can) you're an easy target there, use cloak in a smart way, only to cross open spaced or to approach undetected, also don't assume you're totally invisible, just a lot less but experienced players will pick you out easy.

Also, never stay on the same place for too long and keep moving, even when you're out of energy. Use armor only when in a face to face gunfight, it's pretty useless in other situations, especially because using it lights you up like a Christmas tree, so it makes you an even easier target for players that are far away, and it consumes energy.

Pick out a smart load-out, one that does well and is used by almost all the 'good' players is the Feline SMG, Nova or Hammer handgun, frag grenade and for the modules: Nano recharge (only getting useful starting at level II) or Energy Transfer (a level III must have for intense IA games), the other armor modules are total crap. Take Stealth Enhance, it's an absolute must or you will constantly run out of energy when things get tricky (or Blind Spot when you wanne snipe, otherwise you're too easily pinned down) and then for the power modules, take 'Mobility Enhance' if you want to move around cloaked a lot, use 'weapon pro' when you feel like you are always running out of bullets.

As for the weapons, use the SCAR or the Feline, or even the Jackal shotgun, a really good short range blaster for the beginner.

Good luck mate!

Greevuz tips are bang-on. We all got owned when we first started ...I still do.

Personally I avoid Stealth Enhance ~ it's over-powered and I don't like being dependant on it, so soon as it's level'd up ~ I change it. Plus, I think the more experienced players (like myself) shouldn't use it as much ...give the new guys a chance.

Stick with it.

Go to Instant Action, lower ranks play there, besides you kill anyone you see ;)

I like prox. Alarm in your case. It will let u know when someone is near. I also suggest upgrading your armor and stealth ASAP. Tip for that is, if you know your going to get some good XP in a game(getting a good XP achievement). Stay in a corner in armor mode after u get the achievement. Then it divides your XP between what u used most. In this case armor mode. Then u will unlock better armor modules.

4u
Blind spot would help u get killed a little less and help you sneak up to get a kill. Don't use air stomp untill later on. Side pack is sorta useless til later as well.

Don't sit still to long, sit back and take in what others do. Don't walk/run in a straight line(easy target). Find a comfortable gun.
Lastly hang in there. I was horrible at this game and also my 1st fps game. Now I'm probably in the top 100 I think.
That is all I can think of for now

Who taught you these things, Mr. Brussels? -_^ :)

My first FPS too. Sadly I lost 3 times everything and started on a secondary where I am almost 4th reboot (after 50 start again, gives you extra's) and if all my earned XP would be counted together, it should be enough for a nrĀ°40 rank world wide. ;)

Well, you learn a lot by experience off course, and some good advise from a few friends ;)
Every player will have their own play-style, just don't give up too fast when you're being owned bad at the start, it took me at least a month or so to in the beginning to gain the needed experience for good scores and killstreaks, but even now, it stays challenging, especially with so many good players out there, they make the challenge more... rewarding, once you get the hang of it.
