Am tips on leveling up in specific skills?

There are so many skills that I want to learn but I honestly have no idea how to do them all. I'm majoring in destruction magic and one-handed weaponry, I wear heavy armor too. My blacksmith level is low though, and I can't find any way to make anything heavy armor. I can only make leather armor, light armor, and I can't find a blacksmith area to do so. Therefore I can't level up and it just really annoys me. I heard about this coin ... I'm not sure what that's about? I guess it makes you level up quicker idk. Any suggestions to help? Thanks.

Well, if you just want to level smithing, you can still level by making light armor stuff. But regardless, from the beginning you should be able to make hide, studded, leather and IRON, armors. after that you have to get perks to make armor from different materials.

For smithing, just go to Whiterun (big city, cant miss it, most of the early quests will have you wind up there). At Whiterun, there is a blacksmith right at the enterance that sells pretty much all the materials you need. Just pick the first perk in the smithing tree and you're good to go.
