Tired of cry babies

Post » Thu Oct 07, 2010 1:30 pm

Ok flame away, I made this thread so I could stop seeing all the other ADD 12 yr olds post about DX11, textures, and everything else they have no clue about. Little note.....the fixes will take time....get over it. In the mean time please post in here as I am tired of everyone posting the same useless crap over and over. Crysis team, I know you will probably take this post down but daaaaaamn you guys can't catch a break at all it seems. You are outnumbered by 12 yr olds on this forum

1. don't like it don't read them
2. people have every right to be pissed buying an unfinished game with so many bugs and problems
3. people here LOVE crysis and expected so much from crysis 2 and feel let down .. there bound to be pissed

in my opinion the game was nowhere near ready for pc release but they did it anyway witch is a kick in the balls to anyone who loves the (PC) crysis series .. i think the game is very good but we have come to expect so much more from the game than we have been given with crysis 2

The game was launched in the last week, man.

Any patch has been released to fix the bugs.

This forum is here for people to discuss the game. If all there is to discuss is that the game is broken then thats the only thing that will be posted. This is not the customers fault it's the Developers fault. IF they made a game that was somewhat playable and not riddled with issues then people would be posting about other things. Until then I guess all there is to read on this forum is how many issues this game has.

I'm 14 by the way. And what's with all the hate on 12 year olds?

On-Topic: We don't all have no clue about anything. We're not all stupid. And we do realize that patches will take time. If they would just acknowledge us and tell us that X issue will be patched soon we would stop. If they told us that they weren't planning to change it, that would be okay too because at least we get a response of some kind.

I'd rather be told NO than be ignored outright.

But.... they haven't ignored anyone and have said that they are hard at work on fixing things. It takes time to do this, they don't just ask a couple of guys to work an hours overtime one night and come up with some code to bung on the Website for people to download. They first gather information from customers and then create a list of problems to address, and then recreate these problems in a particular game environment. Once they have resolved the issues they create some code that can be added as a patch to the game but this then has to be tested thoroughly before it goes live. So it takes around 2 weeks at least I would think and they are releasing a patch this week.

meh, I can see where the gripes come from, but knowing well in advance that this was going consoles first kinda lowered my expectations, I was a bit surprised at the massive pc backlash (which unfortunately includes a massive amount of pc users pirating the game and being able to play it online...with teh hax on) because well these things weren't a secret, I mean the demo had a start button and auto aim on. So yeah kinda a good indicator of dev focus.
But I'm cool with it, I enjoyed the single player, the multi is (haters start hating now) better than crysis one and crysis wars. Plus hopefully we get a Crysis 2 : warhead equivalent made just for PC user to go nuts on and benchmark everything and the kitchen sink with.

And the return of Nomad and Psycho...yes.

Dude yes. No one else cares about what happened to NoMad and Psycho. Here's what I think: Because PS3 and Xbox gamers haven't played Crysis, Crytek f*cked with the story. They didn't fill us in on what happened the 3 years between the games, nothing about the original cast. The only things that connect the games are: The Nanosuit, Prophet and Tara Strickland ( her dad was in the first game ). This is my favourite game, so don't get me wrong, but... What the hell Crytek? Just don't tell me that NoMad and Psycho are dead, because if they are, then what the hell was the point of Crysis and Crysis Warhead.

Dear op, I'm 31 and still same upset with crysis 2 lacking full dx11 support, has little destructible environments, has awful textures, is very linear and short, brings nothing new or revolutionary to the genre and overall doesn't lives up even close to the hype and promises it has made before. If we won't voice our opinion, and if we won't voice it ALOT they'll just think that all is fine and keep making same ****. Have a nice day.

Plus hopefully we get a Crysis 2 : warhead equivalent made just for PC user to go nuts on and benchmark everything and the kitchen sink with.

Zomfg man YOU WISH!! Me getting a big boobed blonde with long legs is much much more realistic than what you saying here. How about most likely they'll make a **** short xpac in a year that's gonna be rather released ONLY on consoles, totally ignoring PC and brings nothing new to the game except extra 5 hrs of same liner gameplay? My money's on that.

So people have no clue about the textures? Go to crymod.com ALL of the textures in the game are half the size of the original crysis and most of them are actually 1:1 copies from the original. Don't believe me? Go to crymod.com and look at the thread on the issue.

You don't have to be 12 years old to realize when a company **** up. Likewise I'm tired of all the retards who are crying about people crying who don't know a damn thing. For instance the texture crying is actually highly legitimate. People have used the Quickbms tool to get the textures from the game and compare them to Crysis 1. So those people that are crying over the textures aren't doing it because they have no idea what they are talking about and just want to whine. They are whining because they actually know what the hell Crytek have done.

EDIT: In fact give me a few minutes to dig up the link and you can look for yourself.

Here's the proof about how Crytek have not only used the Crysis 1 textures for Crysis 2 but have actually reduced them by 1/2.

http://crymod.com/thread.php?threadid=67740

Now STFU about people crying unless you can back up your whine.

I'm not complaining about DX11, or graphics. I'm not complaining about content. I wouldn't know, because I still can't log in to the game! That's MY issue. The same issue they had with the Demo, and here it is a month later, and still not fixed. AND I'm not 12, I'm 45. I think if I pay this much for a game, I should be able to PLAY the game, shouldn't I?

xPreatorianx, the fact that you debunked the entire premise of the counterargument right then and there, and the fact that they're going to turn around and say the same thing means that this, is all really just a lost cause. There's no probing something to someone that beleves Crysis 2 is 'Uber Epic' and that anyone that says otherwise isn't a 'TRUE FAN!!!!!'

DX11 is the least of things to complain about, the entire game in many ways on PC is much less than they promised. They said the PC version would get separate development vs a port that has no graphics options other than High, Very High and Extreme system settings. The fact is there's not many places in the game where DX11 will even help much really. There's so many dark maps and maps with overcast skies, a lot of the polygons used can't benefit from high tesselation, and as far as physics there are hardly any destroyable objects like the previous titles had.

The story hardly ties in at all to Crysis, there's no explanation of what happened when Prophet went AWOL, and no reason given for the cephs suddenly walking vs flying. Wouldn't flying make it harder to kill them or at least add a dynamic that makes it much harder to avoid fire? Yeah the gun ships pass by a few times here and there, but in a predictable pattern, then leave. They never fire singularity blasts or freeze rays.

Only a few of the suit upgrades are useful, then stalking the ceph for catalyst, one of the better elements of the game, becomes pointless. The AI is atrociously inept and can't hear direction of weapons to save their life. They say idiotic things to corpses like "Are you hit, where are you hit"? They'll spend a few seconds investigating an area strewn with dead bodies and just because they haven't seen or heard you they'll say "Must have been a false alarm", and you can sabotoge spoke seals literally right behind some of the more powerful cephs which appear to be guarding them.

There's far too many places you can just sneak past enemies and the ending is literally void of an epic battle it makes you think it's leading up to. They have THREE suit upgrades, one very expensive, that all have to do with cloak detection, yet there's only 3 cephs in the end that actually cloak, and even those can be fairly easily avoided.

Face it man, there's far more to complain about in this game than mere lack of DX11.

+1 to you and a bonus of +2 for being intelligent about your reply.

This things are why most of the PC community is upset. DX11 is just a straw on the camels back. It's why I'm mad. This game isn't worht $60. I would have paid no more then $20-$30 for it AFTER the patched and added DX11. It isn't the worse game by a long shot however it isn't fantastic, it is just...meh. Had they said the truth tha they were going to port it from console to PC, then people would have waited till price dropped to buy it on PC. Right now it looks like either Crytek or EA pushed it out in order to scam people out of as much money as they could.

I don't get the whole crying about DX11 support. The game looks amazing and most of the things that everyone is asking for, they wouldn't even notice while playing. It's stupid. The only noticeable thing is the drawing distance but it's not DX related.
The game's on DX9 and does things that 4 years ago someone said that couldn't be possible unless you are on DX10. ****. Game looks beautiful, works without problems and I've finished it without a single bug.

Man, I know that upgrading a system is expensive, but that's your fault, not Crytek's.
