One issue is your obvious attempts to appeal to the masses or what some might call going with the "in" crowd. Call of Duty was successful. BFBC2 was sort of a CoD clone, but it had vehicles and gameplay elements that made it awesome - significantly more awesome than BC1. Medal of Honor (2010) went with a 98% CoD formula and disappointed. I think the ratings on that game were a bit harsh. But it still wasn't that awesome of a game. At least 1-2 hackers on each team along with terrible hit detection killed that game for me. I can't tell you if I like Crysis 2 gameplay or not, because I was so irritated that a task as simple as saving my CD-Key information was too much to handle that I stopped to inform you of my irritation.
I can tell you without playing your game that based on peer reviews and videos I've seen I already know it's not Crysis 1. My question along with many fans is simply - why? Power struggle? Funnest thing ever? 32 player battles (some dedicated servers even went higher than 32), reduced to a mere 16? Did EA make you do it? Send me a pm and blame the publisher, I won't tell anyone I swear. Whatever the reason it revolves around money. $ aren't worth the reputation you had with the PC gamers.
People might wonder if I have these negative things to say why I even bought the game. It's because I had faith. I still have faith for the multiplayer experience, here's hoping when I actually play that repeatedly (and manually) entering my CD-Key will be worth it. Ctrl+V please, Steam's copy to clipboard is useless without it and manually entering a key more than once is .. most frustrating.
Also to note, NAT type moderate. The hell? My 360, PS3, Wii, and all my other PC games = open. Crysis 2 is moderate? Can't find any info to remedy this online since the game just launched today.. what do?
