TMNT 2014

I loved the cartoons as a kid, and the 1990 movie was actually pretty darn good.

But this most recent work looks to be a train wreck.

The cast is weak other than Danny Woodburn as Splinter, and William Fichtner as Shredder. Not enough really to carry the rest.

At least the director (Jonathan Liebesman) did such a fantastic job with Battle Los Angeles, Wrath of the Titans, am I right?

Has anyone been looking forward to this?

The best TMNT series was the one that came out in the mid 00's. It had enough humor to be funny, but a plot that didn't treat the viewers like morons.

And let's not forget how awesome the toys were.

In this case I don't think he is the primary problem. Recasting Megan Fox very well could be. Or Whoopi Goldberg...

Just needs more exploding Pizza delivery vehicles and National Pizza Chain tie-ins.

Didn't they decide to make the turtles as aliens in their backstory or something?

Also: Michel Bay.

It looks so bad. Practical turtle suits from the '90s movies look unbelievably better than this weightless CGI junk. Somehow they decided that dark and gritty was good, but believable and grounded was not. So now the turtles can crush Humvees by launching each other at them.

I was never much a fan of the earlier TMNT shows/movies save for the Full CG movie from a few years back & the current Nickelodeon TMNT series

this Bay-styled movie doesn't interest me

Suspension of disbelief, man, because it's mutant turtles, and ninja trained!

*waves Dennis Hopper jazz hands around Apocalypse Now style*
