TNR and OOO

Post » Sat Jul 03, 2010 10:44 pm

I want to use TNR with OOO, but I read this will cause conflicts. I also read about making them work together using Wrye Bash.
I have Wrye Bash but I'm a total noob.
Can someone link me to a tutorial or something on how to do this?

Of course I can do that. Here is the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1098740-relz-wrye-bash-thread-45/ and the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1099204-relz-oscuros-oblivion-overhaul-133/. :)

I suspect you'll find the whole process much less unpleasant, if you also use http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1096264-boss-better-oblivion-sorting-software/. :)

I don't think that helps the OP with TNR if I've not missed something.

I do think it does, unless I've missed something. :P

To elaborate on that, BOSS tends to help immensely with load order, and even suggestions for deactivating/merging/importing, plus it actually adds tage to, or removes tags from, various mods, where needed.

Most people cannot hope to do all of that, particularly if they use a lot of mods (including overhauls, etc.) - not with anything like ease, at least, I would imagine. And when someone posts something to the effect of "I am completely new to this"... well.

But hey, if you don't think using BOSS is a good idea, perhaps you'd care to explain why.

If you have any of the major overhaul mods installed I won't argue with you, but I guess the OP refers to named TNR mods such as Cobl Races TNR and the Cobl Races TNR SI plugins.

The only important thing to know about TNR and the bashed patch is: Don't activate the TNR file, choose it under "Import Faces" when building the bashed patch.

That was exactly I believe the OP wanted to know of how to do this. :D
