Expectations and Confirmation make all the difference. In Skyrim's case, it's better. There are things people would
like to see, and certainly they might be upset if they don't but it isn't a betrayal from Bethesda if things aren't as you want. But if you confirm something, then change your mind, people will be much more upset. Both of them bring your hopes up and let you down, but for one you can blame yourself and the other you can blame the company.
