sparsely populated world?

theres dragons attacking, you really expect there to be people wandering the roads?

even the npc characters say this.

Multiple quest options. Sick of a conversation tree giving me only one option, that blatantly flies in the face of my character. I don't like being railroaded.

It's so hard to choose just one, but I have to go with this.

Hmmm. I can survive fine with the mechanics (I haven't had to much trouble with them) or get mods for that, so I would probably take the opportunity to add another bell and/or whistle to the game world for playing purposes - because I want to play in Skyrim and there more there is of Skyrim the better (providing it is good more).

Probably quests or sparsely Populated World then (I figure I could potentially get a two for or three for for quests because they apply to guilds and the main story as well).

Some I don't get though - Ugly Character Customization Choices?

Do you mean the ability to make an ugly character or that there are choices that can lead to an ugly character?

I'd liked to have seen more choices, consequences and reactivity. So that when you become the thane in the town, people say Good day, Thane, as you walk past them. A reputation system, needing to do small extra quests to convince people who are racist against your race, that kind of thing. Multiple quest endings, game endings. And things like hardcoe mode for extra realism, randomized enemies. This would all define my character and the lands much more. Skyrim felt like a step backwards rpg wise, coming from New Vegas. (but a leap forward in graphics)

There would be a few things. I would balance crating and make dragons tougher but less numerous. It should be difficult to kill a dragon and they shouldnt be all over the land like cliff racers from Morrowind

Other than that pretty great game!

I would want more PC/NPC interaction and dialogue. Just in general more social AI and options

I dunno if this is "fixing" a problem but I would have loved to have Silver Hand as a guild along with a bandit group, a necromancer group, a vampire group and possible a daedra worshipping group.

Just yknow, more guilds to join, and if I join Silver Hand then I wipe out Companions and the vampire guild, but if I join the Companions or the vampire guild then I ultimately wipe out the Silver Hand.
Choices!

I can't agree enough - choices of that kind are high on my wish list. Vampire faction and quests? Yes please! I never thought about the bandit group but Silver Hand, Necromancer and Deadra Worshipping options I would love to see (and since I also hope to see a lich transformation option one day it would fit with the necromancers, perhaps).

And faction exclusivity and consequences, I can't ask for them enough. It only makes sense and builds the world to have certain factions be opposed to others - I can be head of the DB, thieves and be right up there in the Legion? Wouldn't it make more sense to have a conflict in there for some of them? Sure the Thieves probably don't want any trouble but for the legion to require me, before promotion to the top, to lead a force to take out the thieves guild or DB would be brilliant (or something twisty - the thieves want me to join the legion, corruption and all that. Just at some point you have to choose between Legion and Thieves).

Of course I also want some Giant content. Poor guys are so awesome but you can't do much with them but avoid/kill/admire. Becoming a friend of the giants, doing some good for them would be great. Do you have quests giants, because I want to do your quests.

Map & journal, definitely

multiple userr map markers and a text option for them

being able to move the furniture about in your hoose

labels for the container in your hoose

being able to look at the map, from a northern viewpoint

Well, if it was possible, I would ask for changing the questlog and quest obtaining / completing to the "old" style.

a.) Quest description more complete. (Go to the smith in the southern part of Whiterun. -> NOT: go to John.)
b.) Install an option to remove quest markers accordingly without having to deactivate the quest. But this works only, if you have an intelligent task description, where to look for something. Of course you will have to read.

I know this is isn't possible and 60% of Skyrim players do not want to read, but I sure liked the questlog in TES III. Keywords, hints, reading.

Or a even more ambitious wish:

c.) Please refrain from doing Elder Scrolls games for consoles only and then port them to pc. That s*cks m*nkey b*alls. I know, you are businessmen and one of your PR guys said that you want to get away from "Stats" and "all that stuff". But I liked "that stuff" because almost nobody else did it. This is a sad trend. Besides that I could write down tens of issues I have with this game, but I am too lazy and you asked for ONE... :whistling:

But I know, that is dreaming. So I have chosen the option to change the crappy console-UI, so that this mediocre piece of a game at least would LOOK like a real RPG.

@ OP: Well, all things you mentioned in your list will be taken care of by modders. That is calculated and intended by Bethesda, it is their policy. Do mainstream games and let the hardcoe gamers mod accordingly for the minority. That is why they are releasing the CS (so late!).

Why can we select only one thing?
The UI is definetly the one thing, which stands out most immediatly and which is really amazingly bad. But it's rather easily fixed by mods.

So I'd go for general balance. Everything has to be balanced better and some concepts have to be changed/limited to be meaningful or to not break other concepts.
Anyways ... won't happen without modding.

I would also say return spellmaking, the mark and teleport spells and add the perk 'parry' to the dual wield skill where if the enemy is attacking when you left hand attack you block or block+power bash instead.

A few things that bother me a bit. (sorry I know you said one :) )

If anything, its too easy to get some cash together, and level up skills (say sneak/Speech) at a trainer. I trained both up very fast just by paying people to train me.

When in a room, surrounded by guards that have just seen me how can I then sneak over to a table and strip it bare. Maybe individual items should have an alarm (in the way that pickpocketing works) so that close by NPCs have a chance to observe you stealing said item. Ive cleared out whole shops with the vendor stood behind the counter and hes not noticed...

Also I can pickpocket to my hearts content in town, if a guard sees me I just pay him off, again, and again, and again and again.. At least put a limit on how many times in a certain period this can be done..

I want to use those great texture mods, but I dont want my game crashing every 10 minutes.

Skyrim needs x64 bit.

THIS I know the game is huge but it would be great to be noticed after ending the main quest at least...I'm still being bullied by kids and called a little elf * sighs*

Performance, because that is the only "deeper" element of the game that modders can't fix, properly. Everything else is content which can be altered/added through the CK or w/ some hacking.

Unfortunatly just fixing one thing isn't an option. It would be like using a water bucket on a 5 alarm fire, wouldn't do a whole hell of alot of good.

I would say magic feels a little underpowered but it isn't that huge of a deal. If Skyrim got one thing right it was the combat system IMO

I'd love a dialogue system with more variety. It feels like a real step back this time around, even from Fallout 3.

The broken sword handle. (j/k)

I'd change the UI to include more hotkeys, hotkeys within hotkeys (dropdown menus), and more responsive selections. It drives me up a wall that I have to wade through a console UI with my PC inputs.
