"- It's up to you! You will have even your points, but to upgrade the various skills via the new system, so our need to have a certain number of points in the property. Do you have the most awesome features you need to invest a part in them. That our system first and foremost do is let you change your mind."

Google Translate at it's best! :D
I'm just gonna go an read the original text myself. :P

"One of our designers actually put into a random event I came by, where I ended up being chased by three days and I thought "who the hell did this?". I felt like Frodo in Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and was really frightened. So I asked him to remove it. But no, dragons are generated automatically (in addition to that there are a number of specific encounters, of course)."

Wow that sounds epic. I would love to be hunted for 3 days by Dragons. Must have felt terrifying

I hope they keep that random event in, as a rare, one-off, random experience.

Agreed, it sounds so awesome. I want to actually fear dragons in game... not to see one and think "great, another easy soul to collect"

I belive it's a misspelling of dragons, and not meant to mean that he was chased for 3 days.

Original:
"En av designerne v?re satte faktisk inn en tilfeldig hendelse jeg kom forbi, hvor jeg endte opp med ? bli jaget av tre dager og jeg tenkte ?hvem i alle dager har gjort dette??."
I believe it should be "drager" instead of "dager". Todd talked about his incident with 3 dragons before as well. :)

Yeah you guys, it's the same old 3 dragons story we've heard a dozen times now. Not chased for 3 days lol.

Please Todd, make this possible. It was really annoying in Oblivion.

It's already possible according to another interview.

- Can you cripple enemy's limbs?

- How should I answer this? Yes, there is a kind of system, but not like in Fallout 3

Doesn't cripple mean damage or injure? On Gamer.no they use "fjerne", so wouldn't that sentence translate to "Can you remove the enemy's limbs?" Which would mean that removing the enemy's limbs is confirmed ... kinda?

Might be a hole in my english knowledge though.

- Okay, so you have 21 different skills. Then there are three core attributes: magic, health and stamina. A fan can come to say "you removed my eight favorite capabilities," and I reply "what do you want?". "I must have intelligence, because it affects my magic." Well, now you have a simple statistic of magic. Want to increase your skills in magic as you put points in magic, you do not have to detour through intelligence.

Wait a minute, I thought there were only 18 skills, is this a mistranslation ?

- Can you say something about the fauna in the game? We've seen fish in the rivers and dragons, there are other animals?

- Yes! We have a couple of designers who only work with "world interaction." Say you lose a sword. It happened once before we let you zoom in on the weapons that I would inspect the appearance of a sword. So I throw it on the ground, and before I know someone picks it up and gives it back to me because he likes me. Another example of world interaction is how we have wolf packs that hunt mammoths, and it takes us fifteen minutes to implement something like that.

Wrong answere with the question

So does Beth give out a stock Q & A, because all of these questions are in many of the other interviews. Seems a bit weird.

Hopefully crippling in this game will actually be a permanent, or at least longer-sustaining affect. In Fallout, you could cripple a Super Mutant's arm and make them drop their weapon. But then they would immediately just pick it back up and use the weapon again as if nothing happened.

I did wonder about the translation at the part. Your right, I think that`s supposed to be 3 Dragons.

I was all excited at the thought of being relentlessly stalked for 3 days

I'm still not buying their reasoning for taking out athletic and acrobatics. Yea I actually WANT a character that "runs" it's called a thief, assassin or any other light weight character. PLEASE tell me how I increase my run speed and jump skill

In your post it says "cripple limbs" but in the interview they ask if they will be able to "remove limbs" In which Todd says yes, but not like Fallout 3. Is it a mistranslation or what?

Nope. Look: http://www.hwbox.gr/attachments/gaming-area/5435d1296690390-tes-v-skyrim-artofskyrim_005_executioner.jpg

Not like fallout 3 as in, blood and guts exploding everywhere.

This all sounds great to me, and I'm sure no matter what they decide it will still be a brilliant game.

"Can you tell us about the animals in the game?"
"Yes! There's a lot of world interaction, for example if you drop your sword a guy will pick it up..."
bwahahaha :lmao:

Okay this is probably just a problem with the translation to Norwegian and back to English, but the whole interview reads as if Todd isn't answering the questions at all, just giving out random old information bits that seem like they *might* fit in some way.
Kind of like a simple A.I. that just scans a question for keywords and then picks out its standard response to these. (In the above sample however, that scan failed - usually, nobody asks about animals!)

So... I'm definitely looking forward to the fan interview. I just hope they pick the questions that are actually different from those that the magazines keep asking, and from those they said they couldn't answer right now.

....

That means that they put in months of development time to make sure that the game would still be fairly functional after you kill everybody. Logically if the game breaks after you kill a certain number of people, then the game isn't really meant to be played in such a way. In "working months" on it that means that they've prepared for the worst case scenario, so if the player wants to kill everybody, then it would be feasible to do so and the necessary repercussions would be made.

Adding to this: Kill everyone in say.. Anvil in Oblivion. Come back 72hrs later and they are back =p.

"For who creates a character and think "I'll role-play a guy who runs"?"

I have done this repeatedly.
