Less content than xx is not a big problem... if the content is still significant and enough.
I suppose....

Personally, I'm hoping for about $25 worth of DLC content.
I was hoping that too... but few people here told me if I expect 40% of original game content I am being crazy.
...It`s just harmless wish... lol
1000 cats vs Deathclaw in Wasteland Workshop arena?
lol
Has anyone even considered that the second wave of DLC could take place on the Far Harbor land mass?
Not likely, they never make DLC dependant on having other DLC.
I'm feeling bit disappointed atm, we've gone from having the hype of the biggest landmass to being told it the lacks content of smaller DLC. I hope the landmass isn't like 40% inaccessible mountain terrain like the main map has so much empty water.
It's a shame, Fallout 4 is in dire need of both land and content.
I just hope that what content is there will be of good quality.
You're completely twisting what was said (as usual). Shivering Isles was a LARGER DLC as per it's price point and content. Todd is saying we are supposed to be getting exactly what we're paying for. $25 is a $25 DLC not a $30 DLC for $25. What part of that don't you understand?
And what kind of mountains do you see on an island? I get that you wanna just bash Beth's DLC, as per your other thread doing exactly that, but you really have nothing to go on. They're being very upfront with what you're paying and what you're getting. Don't hype yourself up thinking they're giving you more for what you're paying for. That's your own damn fault.
I just hope the quest we get are good. I couldn't care less about the map size.
Mmm he said largest landmass and more content than Dawnguard which was a $20 DLC.
So more content than $20 Dawnguard, but less than $30 Shivering Isles. If you twist that, then it might also mean more content than Dragonborn, which to me seems more than fair for the [used-to-be] $25 season pass deal.
What I read is that Far Harbor will have more content then Dawnguard but less then Shivering Isles. I thought that Dawnguard was good sized, but I have not played Shivering Isles to compare it too.
Think you need to calm down, I'm a big fan of Bethesda's games, this thread was made to ask what people thought of what Todd himself has said about Far Harbor. I love Fallout 4 and just want a big expansion to add to the impressive Automatron and the more unknown and cheap WW.
Just sounds to me like you need to stop reading too far into things. Largest landmass of a DLC was stated. That's all. No reason to take that any further without knowing anything about it. So they were right, it is larger than their previously largest landmass DLC, Shivering Isles. I don't know why it was assumed that it would then also have more content? That was never mentioned or even implied. The price point however, implied that it would be less than SI. But that's also an assumption.
WW feels cheap to you because it is cheap. $5 is nothing in today's world. But if that $5 DLC (which is actually like $2 if you were a preMarch1st season pass holder) provides people who enjoy the settlement system what they feel is worth $5 of content what's the problem?
That's basically what I expected. A lot of people saw "largest landmass" and took it the wrong way. size=/=content
I have complete faith in Bethesda that it's going to be a great DLC.
Kind of what I was thinking. Maybe this will be a good balance of content and playable area
I actually hope so. I've also been against vehicles in Bethesda's Fallout, but if they managed to spread the map out far enough then I'd be more than willing to have vehicles in-game. Obviously areas like cities and what not wouldn't be vehicle accessible, but the desolate wastes would be.
That's what came to me as well.
Shivering Isles alone had probably more content than base Fallout 3. Topping that would require some insane effort on Bethesda's part.
Well now we are just going to have a massive number of tirades about how the Far Harbour feels so empty from those same people...
