Todd leaked info..

Post » Thu Jun 10, 2010 1:01 am

in the interview with todd he mentioned that there will be different types of jails and that they are not all the same. right after he says that he blinks like 20 times in 3 seconds like he was thinking to himself "oh [censored] i wasnt supposed to say that". i thought it was kinda funny.

it is in this video from 2:00 to about 2:10 if you are interested.

how careless of him :) but seriously? no, he was in the process of contructing that sentence and had a long time to stop himself from saying it. sounds like to me that you have been watching some of those facial anolysis quacks who show people videos of political events in history and tell you how their facial expressions show how they are lying, its called hindsight, those experts know they were lying because the truth was revealed later.

ok ok it might not have been a mistake you make good points. i thought maybe they could have wanted it to be a surprise, like you steal something and go to the town jail for a night. then later on you murder someone and they're like "now you are going to super jail!" and your like damn i thought i would just go to the town jail again thats crazy. haha.
i do like the multiple jails things though btw i think it was a good idea

Back on topic: Multiple types of prisons?
I wonder what's that all about. A prison is just 4 walls and a reinforced door, or a cage. In what way can they be different that it actually matters?

Blinking is the eighteenth skill in Skyrim. Very helpful during snowstorms.

reminds me on another interview, he said about the dialogue system: "you can move freely, and when you just walk away they just continue talk... then the dialogue ends"

Would you expect a murderer and a thief to be in jail together in real life? It was like this in Oblivion, so they want it to be more realistic. I like it.

@OP The blinking was a sign of fatigue, i think. That was probably his twentieth interview in Colorado that day.

I'm glad we have people anolyzing Todd Howard's blinking habits. Not only can we predict when he leaks info, we can now beat him at poker.

Whoa, Todd doesn't look healthy at all in that pic. Wonder if the crunch leading up to E3 has got to him?

Is this the part where we all start posting awkward Todd Howard pictures?

Both of these put together. Beth know howto keep a secret and rarely leak info unless they want to

In spite of all the negative waves, you might be on to something. I thought I caught something similar in one of the recent videos. His face changed in a subtle way like he might have slipped. I think it was when he said, "there's a sneak skill". It's impossible to know, and it's no big deal. But I got a chuckle out of it.

And I'm not at all ashamed to be this desperate for more info.

Different prison routines (24 hour confinement versus being forced to work or given time in the yard which=escape opportunities), different quality of security at different prisons or different social dynamics.

There is actually a large body of well-regarded academic work in this field, which gives good results entirely unrelated to hindsight. Google Paul Ekman, and go from there if your're interested.

I don't think it was a mistake, I liked hearing the news about the jails. My only fear is that the jail differences might not be truly confirmed in the game like Horses so that's probably why he was blinking all those times.

I don't really get how that works either, and having your eyelids twitch like that seems like it would be uncomfortable, more so than having to wear glasses (and I have to wear them over my regular glasses).

EDIT: I get the concept now. Obviously glasses still seem easier.

What? I don't get it?

Well... He blinks very fast... So does the guy in the video... Did you watch it?

In case you don't undestand how that works: that system that guy uses closes one eye, and the TV shows the picture for the other eye, than the system closes that other eye, and the TV shows the picture for the eye that was closed first. So you get different pics for differnt eyes -> 3d. But I doubt that's not a joke.

Anyway, I'm just foolin around, nvm
