I think it would be a good idea to allow a toggle reload button to be available.

This way you can switch off automatic reload when you hit 0 bullets. Because every time I hit 0 bullets in my primary, I try to switch to my pistol, BUT THE GAME WON'T LET ME. First it must auto-reload my primary then do a glitched out weapon switch animation to reach my pistol, by that time I have already tried to switch weapon again and I'm back to my empty Scar and then I'm dead.

Same bug was in Crysis 2 (still is).
