Is there a way ingame or outgame to toggle your head armor to be shown and not shown?

Thanks!

What isn't equipped should give no benefit. What is equipped should be shown.

I just don't wear helmets, but I do wear some hoods.

That may change depending on how cool they look in higher levels.

I made my helm a favorite and then assigned the number 8 to it. Now I can take it off and put it on at will.

Agree. And I also agree that I'd like to be able to hide my helmet. I spent a lot of time deciding on hair style and color to have it covered up the entire time with a helmet. Right now I take it off every time I'm in town but it's getting old fast. I guess eventually I'll just get used to seeing the stupid helmet.

People have been spoiled by this silly unrealistic feature by too many lesser games, this game strives for realism and people in those days had to sacrafice their gorgeous looks for a little more protection.

You don't have to wear a helmet all the time. Its only really useful for aesthetics or in combat, and even then, you can get by without one. If you want to equip/unequip it faster, put it in your favorites menu.

oh wait, you just dont want to see it while you have it on? take it off? goodness people, are we really going to degenerate with such options? no that was not sarcasm, i think it is stupid and lazy to not take your helm off manualy if you want to look at your hair, your not forced to wear it

It's not silly, it's just a good feature, it is up to the player if he/she wishes to use that.

Having to put it on favourites and removing it and then reequipping it works too but maybe everyone don't want to do it that way, and it's not lazy.. if you do it again and again eventually u'II just stick with that ugly helmet or simply just have it off and screw the bonuses you may recieve.

always kind of disliked how I feel forced to pick ugly clothing or weird combinations for stat boosts
but like some people mentioned if you want the boost wear it, makes sense

I find the thought of wearing something yet it not being seen quite amusing. It's a ridiculous idea

Head armour is for your head, you stick on it on your head and therefore it must be seen if the game has 0.01% realism in it.

Anyway I find a lot of headgear looks pretty cool.

Realism.
Thar be dragons and magic mate?

Lesser games.
All other Rpg's?

Those days.
When exactly?

"It has dragons" is the worst reasoning ever. It has a lore explanation unlike inexplicably having invisible headwear.

And ALl other RPG's? I wasn't aware Bioware games were the only other RPGs on the market

I was just about to get myself all riled up in an answer but then realised I was on my 9'th hour of a nightshift, which in turn would explain my previous post's latent hostility..

Guys, sorry for the antagonistic first post... I'll retreat to watching youtube of Skyrim for the remainder of my shift :)

I agree, that would be awesome. Some of these helmets look horrible, and I play in 3rd person.
