Toggle Helms Off Mod?

Post » Wed Aug 18, 2010 9:28 pm

So I finally created a female character which is not too hard on the eyes but in game with helm on I cannot see her!

So I looked around for some Helm mod and found this one called 'Helm Toggle' located here:
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25870

Unfortunately it does not work - description of problem:
OK, so I dabbled a bit in scripts, and here's what I dig up - the slot your helm is being send to no longer counts as armor (well, what would you expect if it's called no slot).Only armor slots will do, not all however. The Head slot will cause some odd effects(good for horror movies,I guess),while an amulet slot work just fine.Tail slot (non-beastrace character) works fine with heavy armor helms, but your hair will stick through your helm if it's light armor or hood.I think trouble lies in tail slot itself, and I see no way to deal with it without re-writing mod.

So I am wondering whether there is another similar mod out there that allows helms to be toggled on or off... if not any chance someone experienced with modding can make a patch for this existing mod? :P

Thanks!

Can't you just assign the helmet to a hotkey?

helmets = useless in this game imo, it stop you from looking at your character's hair etc, and is generally very unuseful piece of armour. soo... don't use it :D you can assign a hotkey to it just like assigning hotkeys to everything else in-game..

You could go this route: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10380

Also found another helm disabler. You might have better luck with it: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16460
