is crysis 2 getting dx11 yes or no??
if for some reason you are forbidden to answer,will we find out before the actual realease date??

The more important question I gues you have to ask is, Does DirectX 11 will do a difference in the game at all.

dx11 will adds AMAZING lighting
then you have depth of field
crazy shadowing
and of course the panty droppin tesslation

It's a good idea but for some reasons it hasn't been said yet

Perphaps EA does not want to tell people that it doesn't have dx11 because they might cancel pre-orders (which is very stupid)

Maybe they are still deciding if they should release it with dx11 or delay the dx11 patch and make it better

Anyways in less than 5 days we will know so no need to be desperate

Really? Oblivion lighting vs Farcry 2 lighting. Lighting from 2005 vs lighting fit for a gaming rig from 2011. DX11 should also mean more realistic looking everything.

The fact that DX11 may not be in the BOX makes me not want to buy the game. Because that is complete and total crap

Also if everybody just goes on buying DX9 games the damb thing will never die and dev's will just go on paying lip service to DX11. Thats why we have to demand DX11 features.

Isn't it weird how Nvidia not only payed Crytek millions of dollars during development but are also releasing their GTX 590 (dx11 card) on the same day Crysis 2 comes out? Weird huh?(wink wink

im not really bumming that the game wouldnt have it,BUT im really fed up about these companies who say oh we care about our fans and just say all this bs in interviews,YET LOOK AT ALL THE HATE ON THIS FORUM AND WHO FROM CRYTEK IS CARING ABOUT IT FIN NOBODY....

Yes i think more people are mad about the lack of information to questions that should long ago have been answered than the actual lack of dx11.

No info is worse than bad info. They won't answer. You'll buy a pointless DX11 card that uses Crysis 2 to advertise it and realise you got f-ed.

There's a sacred rule of PR: deny all concerns, everything will be fine, Crytek is flawless.

I know exactly what Tom's answer is going to be. I know it. For a fact, actually.

It's going to be along the lines of... "We currently have no announcement on this, but when we do, we'll have it on gamesas.com."

See, this is what a community manager does. Just delivering messages that are spoon fed to them and if there are no messages to deliver, they just tell you non-sense. It's how it works. Tom's no different. He doesn't get to decide what information gets released and what doesn't. He has no say in this.

Though, Tom, there are more creative ways of saying "I don't know/can't say", don't you agree?
