Yes you're right but from what I understand it had nothing to do with the pre-order number. It had everything to do with they not having L.A Noire releasing at the same time...

I'm glad to see a game where Kill?Death ratio doesn't matter, the emphasis is on "What I did to help the TEAM complete it's objective", gonna be interesting to see how many can adapt. If you are using PC why wouldn't you do Steam?
Actually you are unable to play on PC without steam. Brink requires Steamworks to play on PC so there is NO reason someone on PC would not use Steam! ^^
