Too complex

Dear developers,

Coming from ETQW, I can't quite understand why there is no voip..... i see chat messages flying by about strategy and find myself spending too much time explaining stuff, it;s really annoying!

Can you please bring back the voip?

People don't pick objectives, especially when they are medic, can't you make that system a bit better? I still tap out right as I get a revive syringe. Another simple way of fixing this might be to make secondary objectives (blue obj) worth way more points! Then people would have an incentive to do them!

The reality remains that I do EVERYTHING! I constantly change class and progress the game... I can't stand it!!!!! For instance, I pick engineer to build the bridge access panel, but nobody uses it, or guards it, so guarding it wont do, coz my dumb team keeps taking the bottleneck attack routes (whilst there are so many!!!) Going underneath for instance is practically ignored by everyone! So i go back to change to operative, only to return to a planted charge (whilst I gotta hack). Have like a green/blue guiding arrow system like in dead space and (I think) prey! Use color to emphasize importance! Would make my life so much easier!

On resort I've gotten stuck and had people refust to listen, I went up, killed them, got their attention, pushed really hard at the bottom until we got in the room and took the command post, then I told them "OK EVERYONE YOUR FAVORITE TAKE UPPER ROUTE!!!" and boy did we push! All the way to Fashionista (and then the time ran out)! I just wish people would think about the map design and constantly take another route... for some reason this barely happened in ETQW either (think of the ladder to the left of the refinery!!!!)

Bottom line, VOIP so I can instruct those aimless people! And say no to Steam voip, if there is a choice, we might never talk on the same medium.

Please PLEASE! Do something about this!

Kind regards,

Michael Barton

the AI system pisses me off,
your team just runs around and dies, its like they're a bunch of emos because they dont do anything but run around in the middle of the map,
and some will revive you, after 3 hours of them walking to you. it pisses me off so much,
but it is a great game, juss add TDM and fix the AI system, then maybe I wont trade it in.

I dont want to sound unsympathetic but i am so, have fun trading it in.

As to OP, i agree that the VoIP would help, i have had people on random public servers joining fireteam Voice but very rarely.
I would also change the obectives wheel, make it possible to show them on screen always and give me the option to set them as active with one push of a button.
That way i dont have to constantly check the huge wheel blocking my screen.

In short, i am with you on this one.
It is amazing what people can achieve when someone starts telling them what to do.

Idk what to say to this...it baffles me

Yes the AI svcks i'll second that statement. But the consoles have volp (if they use a mic is another whole story) but even those without a mic i rarely actually see them running around not knowing what's going on or what they are doing. So in that aspect nothing has to be fixed besides the ai and some practice by those players who apparently don't know what's going on.

if ppl running around aimlessly, quit the game! it's not your fault, nor your problem to tell them how the game works! get rid of those players and let them go back to CoD because noone wants to play with'em anymore

I notice there are 2 kind of teams.
1. Run streight from the start to the objekt
2. Stay there for 3 seconds and buff each other.

I′m always like : Hey wait...I can buff you...

But I think TEAM VOIP is not the problem.

On the consoles, we can speak to our teammates in the Advanced/OldSkool/Competition matches. You can even hear the enemy team after the battle ends.

Communication is key. I love that most Brink players with mics seem to be very responsive to coordinative suggestions on xboxlive. Without it, this game would probably be a bit too much for me to tolerate, LOL.

That's map situational, but I have no problem with my teammates and I buffing on the move, particularly on maps with fast and early objectives (the gate on CC, the hostage in Aquarium). The defense gets the edge in most maps as is, so beating them to an objective or not giving them time to set up major defenses is often key to keeping them on their heels the whole game.

I think there are 3 teams, so I'll add in...

1. Run straight from the start to the objective.
2. Stay there for 3 seconds and buff each other.
3. Buff whilst bolting to the Objective (how I tend to operate).

I think #3 is completely the way to go all the time. Waste neither time nor buffs.
