Too many mods?

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 7:52 am

Wow, didn't realize how many mods I was hoarding! I just started playing and modding Oblivion too! I went to install a new video game and found out I only had 50meg on my HD left. wtf!? :brokencomputer:

I check properties on my FO3 mod folder and it's about 60G!? Holy hell! Check the Oblvivion one, that's relatively empty and it's at 14G. Time to dust off my external HD and move some stuff over!

I know what you mean, my folder is over 25 gigs now. It was alot higher before the big pruning last month, same with Oblivion.

BTW you can get pretty good (internal) hard drives now for pretty cheap. it's something to think about at least.

Heh. I hear ya.

What I did was get a new (internal) storage HDD, of 2TB capacity. That helped a lot. Also, an external HDD for backing up really vital stuff. That's just comforting, really.

For the record, my Oblivion mods folder (with everything 7-zipped as tight as can be) is currently at the 70GB mark, roughly. Whereas FO3's, that's only at 30GB-odd.

Amateurs. :P I keep my FO3 and OB mods on a 320GB external hard drive reserved solely for mods and it's almost full. I have over 1,000 mods for FO3. I have to hurry up and buy a new one before New Vegas comes out.

I have them categorized but the catalogue only exists in my head. I had to delete a lot of information (bye bye past relationship memories) to cram my mods in there

Wow ... just .... wow .... I humbly bow before your greatness  Someone should present you with a :trophy: Personally, I settle with 13.5 GB of Oblivion mods and 8.5 GB of Fallout 3 mods. I have no idea of the number, but all are categorized, however, I have no catalogue :user: I wonder if Buddha still has his list ...

And I agree with povuholo - you can never have to many mods :mohawk:
