Yeah lets just keep Oblivion's level scaling, have the NPCs talk about mud crabs all day, and have only generic dungeons with no interesting hand placed loot anywhere in the world. Sounds like a plan.

I for one don't like the Fallout and I hope they don't import too many features.

it already is. The enemy leveling in Skyrim will be like in Fallout, which means at a low level there are enemies you just can't beat unlike on Oblivion where they enemies level up as your level increases. Of course random enemies will still get stronger as you level up.

I don't think it matters. As long as they don't have guns in Skyrim. Fallout was a good game. It's Bethesda, they won't mess it up!

What, do you people seriously think they're suddenly going to include radiation and guns? No, I'm sorry, I'm fairly certain they looked at what they did wrong in Oblivion, such as level scaling, improved on it in Fallout 3, and are going to improve on it even more in Skyrim.

So no, there won't be too much Fallout in Skyrim. They are completely different games.

This is like saying that you think there is too much Coca Cola in Sprite, because they come from the same company and are both soft drinks.

Hey, hey, hey, I wouldn't keep that logic if I were you. I used to be so like you, believing that my favorite game companies couldn't possibly make a bad game...then DA2 came along.

Skyrim is a medieval fantasy game made by Bethesda. Of course it will be influenced by Fallout 3, and OF COURSE it will look and feel completely different. That's almost the same as being concerned about Portal 2 being too close to Halflife 2.

DA2 isn't a bad game, it's a great game without a main plot. Which svcks.

< murmurs to self> DA2 is what we should point at when people on this forum call for lots of side quests at the expense of a good main quest.

Uh you're being sarcastic right? (at least I'm hoping you are)

I don't think I seen in the OP anywhere that said let's make this an Oblivion clone and make absolutely no improvements on the system

I think he said he doesn't want fallout influences to be too present in Skyrim (ie perks ala fallout style, though they are already present, a VATS like system, etc.)

Coca-cola and sprite are about 95% the same thing.

There really aren't any Fallout 3 influences. Like, at all. The fact that they're calling them "perks" in Skyrim doesn't mean much, as they're much more akin to the skill trees you find in some action RPGs e.g. Diablo 2. The leveling system is still completely different, there is even more emphasis on action and combat, and there are no dialogue trees whatsoever.

You mean sugarwater? Yeah because a glass of water with 5 tablespoons of sugar tastes exactly like Coca Cola and Sprite. :shakehead:

Yes lots of repetitive side quest that take place in the same locations and have the same enemies.

I'm not entirely sure on this so don't chew me out if I am wrong but I am pretty sure Todd Howard has said that the engines have changed pretty dramatically.

Sorry misread your post.
